It learns where in the lane you prefer to drive rather than keeping you centered. If you make it drive left or rt of center, it will start to track there.

Hi, Great video but questions and a suggestion for another video. I have a 2019 Sportwagen (USA) which i think OBDEleven cals a Sportvan. It is the 1.4 with adaptive cruise. I assume this will also work on my car. I would like to see a video on how to find what is features can be coded. Do you know if changing the lanes assist to early with menu will void part of the warranty?

What did you mean by 30 seconds at a time? Was that between touching the wheel or does the lane follow deactivate after 30 seconds?

Does it only do it when it knows the driver's hands are not on the wheels? As standard, the LKA intervenes even when i'm doing the steering. As soon as it detects that I'm nearing the limits of my lane, it tries to bring me back on track. So i'm wondering if this feature you are showing will intervene constantly because now the boundaries of the lane have "narrowed".

IQ drive is just new branding as far as I know for the driver assist package. If you find it bounces back and forth while self driving I’d bet you can enhance it with OBDeleven coding.

As far as I know anything I have done and anything I've seen anybody else do is permanently saved in the cars system. Even if you take the battery or power supply away, the actual data is still hard saved, basically downloading software onto a computer. Even if you take the battery or power supply away the information is still saved on the hard drive. You are basically changing the settings that are already in the computer. Short answer, no everything won't reset.

If you have a front camera and land keeping already, yes you should be able to enhance it like this.

Yes it tracks the paint lines. If you have wandering paint it follows that line. No paint it just turns off which you can see from the green or amber lane indicator bottom of gauges.

The black next gen adapter is better as it works for iOS and Android and supports the new BMW stuff they are expanding into. As for credits you get now I don’t know, also Pro access changed to a subscription instead of lifetime. Check their website directly for most up to date info.

It’s lane assist in assist settings. If you turn a way the car thinks is wrong, you’ll feel extra resistance and sometimes it will vibrate the wheel.

If you have a camera in upper portion of windshield you should be able to get that done with OBDeleven or VCDS canbus coding.

Hay. Just got a golf R this week. In mine the lane assist doesn't start untill I'm doing over 60kms. Does this change allow it to start working from lower speeds?

I think mine activates lower speed than that but I’ll try to notice when the lines turn green next time I drive. Maybe it is just 60kph+

hi after a front window change i have the feeling my lane assist countersteer is set to low, but i dont have that extra warning level menu where you can change between weak medium and strong. can i add this function in my lane assist menu?

Kris P yes without providing a security code it won’t let you change it. And you need OBDeleven PRO for long coding. (Or VCDS and adapter)

No luck, I’ve not seen a way to do that. Also it only works above 60 kph. Two limitations I’ve not found a way around yet.

Different hidden, it improves standard lane keep by a noticeable amount. Less lane weaving more lane centering.

How long did u take for the coding? I tried and it keeps writing. I waited for several 15 minutes and gave up, when I slide to the main page of control unit it says the control unit has no responses please turn on the engine, but the coding can't be done while the engine is on! What is going on？😂
