The most important things for Christians to read in Leviticus as they keep reappearing in the New Testament, are: “Be holy for I am holy” and “Love your neighbour as yourself”. There are over ninety references to Leviticus in the New Testament. God didn’t give reasons for all His rules. If you will only obey a command when you see the sense of it, you are not obedient and do not trust the one who gave you the command. God knows best. He has very good reasons for His commands. Modern man wants to know the point of it. God wants obedient, trusting children. God does give punishments for disobedience. There are rewards for obedience, blessings for those who trust and obey, but a curse on those who disobey. You could lose your home, your citizenship or even your life. God is saying the only way to be really happy is to be really holy. The sinfulness of man is not just in polluting clean things but in profaning holy things. There is a shift from the Old Testament to the New Testament. Holiness is moved from material things to moral things. Jesus said, “It’s not what goes into your mouth now that makes you unclean, but what comes out”. The other shift is that rewards and punishments are moved from this life to the next. This life is only the preparation for a much longer life elsewhere. .

Christ...mass was created for church going Christians to remember the birth of The HaMasiach. Therefore on Christmas you would go to mass. The breaking of Bread and drinking wine to remember the HaMasiach On that day that was proven the the Star of Bethlehem was first seen. For you guys are thinking that the enemy profaned the day and are not remembering the HaMasiach and the gifts given from the Eastern School in Persia which Daniel started. So you should remember Christ Mass as you do on the Shabbat.

I stopped engaging in the Christmas drunken nights out many years ago , Christmas celebrations the way it is is celebrated became repugnant to me ! Of course my children got presents and a Christmas dinner but I’m so glad they they are old enough for me to tell them just how awful I felt Christmas was ! I was likewise horrified at Easter Eggs and Bunnies actually meant ! It made me angry that i wasn’t told these things as a child growing up , in fact encouraged to engage by the church to engage with these celebrations! We were spiritually so malnourished in school, at home and indeed in church !

Hi Anne - David gave a series of teachings on the 5 Covenants - He also published a Book called ''By God I Will covering The Noahic Covenant, The Abrahamic Covenant, The Mosaic Covenant, The David Covenant and the New Covenant. Do listen to Davids reasons why he believes the Mosaic Covenant was fulfilled by the New Covenant - Jesus broke the Sabbath Law in 'healing' a man on the Sabbath David does not go into the detail of why he believes strongly the Sabbath Laws has been fulfilled in this video as its more a video on the Book of Leviticus. As a Pastor, David peached and lead services on Sunday's ......but he did not keep ''the Sabbath Laws''

@@DavidPawsonMinistry The pharisees accused jesus of breaking the sabbath but there is no where the bible states jesus broke the sabbath by healing. Many say they don't keep the sabbath but yet they have adopted the Sun day as their sabbath the day which ROMAN EMPEROR CONSTANTINE made a degree making it a day of rest. Apostle Paul kept the sabbath acts 13:42-44 which shows me sabbath wasn't abolished.Isaiah 66:22-24 states clearly sabbath will be observed in the new earth. My prayer is that God will continue revealing the truth to ask as we continue seeking Him in spirit and in truth. Thanks for info about the books. 🙏

@@DavidPawsonMinistry Jesus was falsely accused of braking the Sabbath by the Pharisees. They wanted to accuse Jesus. Jesus purposely healed on the Sabbath to show that nothing was wrong with doing that. Jesus clearly stated that it’s lawful to heal or do good on the Sabbath. “And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him. [11] And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out? [12] How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.” Matthew 5:10-12 The Sabbath rest preceded sin and is the Law and is the memorial of creation. Leviticus 16 talks about the scapegoat but in the hebrew the word for scapegoat really was Azazel ( the chief demon or satan). The year christ was crucified the scapegoat or Azazel did return and the priest throw the goat into gehennah just like God will do in the future. The scapegoat theory is a mistranslation in kjv and if you study hebrew you can't say the word was scapegoat but Azazel ( satan.)

Amazing teaching! I also feel we have made God too common in our minds sometimes. He is holy. Because Jesus has freed us from bondage to the law, doesn't mean we treat God casually. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is to be revered. Reading these laws again really shows just how different and set apart God is....

The Sabbath law was covered in the new testament. It is Remember the day of rest. A thousand years is like a day. It is speaking of the thousand year reign of the kingdom of the Lord aka the day of the Lord. Remember that coming day and you are most likely to stay on the narrow path.

People understand perfectly well authority over them and having to obey our civil authorities; for example, the military are trained never to question their orders. Somehow people have a very difficult time understanding that God doesn’t need our approval for his actions and he doesn’t have to explain himself because he is God. Yet, in his loving kindness, he says “let us sit down and discuss the matter”. God knows what His instructions will benefit us in the long run. When he is through working with us, he will turn a dirty piece of coal into a brilliantly sparkling diamond.

It’s hard to relate to something that was given to the Jewish people, and not to us to perform. But you remember that Jesus came to amplify the spirit of the law, because the law itself could not save. Keep that in mind when you’re reading these difficult passages. The Jewish people were reminded every day that they were sinners because everything they were told to do pointed to the coming Savior, while we need to Stay close to our savior and be holy. The Jewish people at the time were like little babies who needed to be trained and taught how to live according to God’s way. The Jewish people had been in slavery for 400 years and they were basically pagan Egyptian slaves. Check out J Vernon McGee (through the Bible) teaching series; it goes through each book of the Bible from the new testament to the old testament back-and-forth. It really helped me understand the Old Testament better.
