CAPTIONS ADDED I hope you enjoyed this one! For the first time ever, I’ve included captions throughout the film to explain what’s happening and share some interesting trivia about the area. Let me know what you think - did you like having the captions? Would you prefer them differently, or did you notice anything that wasn’t quite right? Your feedback will help me decide if I should do this again in future films. If you enjoyed it, give this comment a 👍 so I know it’s something worth continuing!

I think the caption are a net gain. If you want to turn them off you can. If the video algorithmically doesn't do as well I wouldn't read too much into it. Taiwan, while beautiful, isn't going to be as sexy and clickable as Nepal or Yosemite...? That Visp was getting TAXED hard lol. Ever consider the Apex quilts or the synthetic puffy for situations like this?
Taiwanese HERE! Your videos always give me so much energy and help me escape from stress. I’m really, really happy that you came to Taiwan and captured the mountains in such a breathtaking way. Now, I can truly marvel at my homeland through your perspective. Thank you, Harman! This video has once again reminded me how amazing Taiwan is and made me fall in love with my country all over again. You’re the best, Harman! 💙

Living abroad has made me realise just how unique Taiwan’s mountainous terrain truly is. Thank you for completing this journey of resilience and determination, and for allowing more people to experience every step you’ve taken and the beauty you’ve witnessed through your lens. It makes me miss my homeland even more.

Bravo! I'm hiker and amateur video maker from Taiwan, so good to see you hike in my motherland, and the trail in Taiwan is steeper than Europe in usual, especially 馬博橫斷 is one of the four encumbrances as Taiwan 100 peaks, that's not a easy way while you’re hiking but spectacular. Good job and congratulations!

Yet another 'your best video so far'! The subtitles are much appreciated and I think you have the balance just right between providing some background information with letting the scenes speak for themselves. I definitely like some explanation as it happens - where this is, what it's called, the elevation, problems encountered and some local history. From my own experience, which is nothing like as adventurous as the things you do, the calorie deficit from these freeze-dried packs is something to be conscious of, because they inevitably fall far short of the energy that anybody would consume in a day. And anyway, while they may taste good, they are 75% water when you come to eat them. So personally, I pack a conventional box of 6 eggs in a plastic Tupperware box lined with a (preferably clean) pair of socks to prevent breakage. The other thing that occurred to me is that where there are deer there are usually ticks in the undergrowth. In Norway once, having a shower afterwards I found one had attached itself and crawled up my shorts. Ever since then I have always worn very lightweight long trousers from Rohan. Fabulous video of a surprising part of the world.

It’s an amazing video! The view is stunning and some of the trails are very challenging, but the part of Jade Mt., the tallest mountain in East Asia, is fairly easy compared with other mountains that were in the video, cause I’ve also been to Jade Mountain! Thanks for sharing the beauty of Taiwan to the world!

Thank you. Beautiful. The trail, weather looks rough & that part where you climbed that ledge w the rope looks sketchy & that river crossing too & all that you have to go through twice for the camera. All that gave the video drama. Thank you for the hard work, it came out amazing. Congrats well done sir!
