There are several versions of that tool currently available on scamazon. It comes with knobs that can be fixed around the tool in order to adjust specific spots inside the shoe. I usually wet the shoe before using it.

Hi if the leather is stretchy it will expand a toe box, but need to be careful as its quite powerful. I did use it to get a bit more big toe space.

How are you finding the shoes you made. I have been looking for mine to send you a photo, they were bought in 1991 after a few repairs and some rubber added they are very heavy ideal in high winds ;-)) or deep sea diving. Is it best to dampen the leather before stretching ? In the past I have forced wedges and a damp cloth in some shoes when my little toe has been suffering. It does not help when you have wide feet 10 1/2 size and a big frame ;-) also my left foot is nearly 1/2 a size bigger.
