I’ve always been fascinated by Ruth Ellis and recently read about her in a paperback book. She seemed a troubled soul, and I believe you’re right Paul, they were quite a couple...very fiery! Thanks for showing his grave. Very sad really, so young...

I’m a new subscriber from Canada 🍁 n luv your kindness & respect shown of all your stories of the deceased. I grew up watching British shows & still watch all the British shows of 70’s- n know many of the celebrities graves that you visit. It was kind of you with the crows, crows are very smart birds as have seen them in action often. When one is found dead by whatever ways the crows come together & have a last goodbye sort of interesting it was in a cemetery. I’ve seen crows sit on ph lines watching over a fallen dead crow. They are amazing birds. TY, 🍁🍁🍁

I'm an ardent Taphophile and am a volunteer guide at one of the 'Magnificent Seven'' London Cemeteries. I enjoy exploring graveyards for the stories behind the monuments, so your channel is of great interest. I visited both David Blakely and Ruth Ellis' grave yesterday with respect for both of them. She was just as much a victim as he was, IMO. We used your interesting and informative videos to help pinpoint the graves and found them very easily. Thank you

I remember the name Ruth Ellis but sadly I had forgotten the victims name David , shows what happens when the attacker has more publicity than the victim , nothing's changed there then , Ruth Ellis was hung in 1955 by our own Albert Pieerpoint ,the last female to be executed by hanging in the United Kingdom , her hanging was also the beginning of the abolition of capital punishment in the United Kingdom ,
@Oddballkane2 жыл бұрын
It was also helped by the wrongful hanging of Timothy Evans. He was hung in 1950.

I don’t think it was as cut and dried as was made out, that’s if the film is anything to go by. I don’t think she should’ve been tried for murder, manslaughter maybe. There are 2 sides to every story. 🥺
@sommesoul33 Жыл бұрын
Ruth was abused all her life by men. She was tolerant of abuse. It was stockholm syndrome. Only those of us who have gone through it, can fully understand it. He made her feel she couldn’t live without him, even after him making her miscarry. He forced an abortion on her by doing that. Ruth wanted to please him. Even trying to take her own life was a sign of this. She didn’t deserve what she went through.
