Unveiling And Fixing The Biggest Gimmick With My Brand New Toyota Supra!!

👋 In todays video I fix some of the gimmicks within the brand new Toyota Supra! I just bought a 2023 manual tranmission Supra, and while it's an amazing car, there are some fake aspects. The speakers actually play engine sounds in sport mode! The exhaust valve does make a bit of noise but mostly what you hear comes from the speakers. Also there are other electronics you can adjust within the car using the OBD2 adapter and a cool diagnostic app on your phone! In this video I use BimmerCode App to code out some parts of the Supra to be more my taste. This KIES Motorsports adapter works with many phones and apps and you're able to diagnose problems and update aspects within the car depending on the app you are connecting to it. Definitely a worth while part to have for your car to keep an eye on everything electronic with your car!

The auto start stop most definitely is ridiculous. You wear out the engine more starting and stopping too. I never thought of those adjustments! Makes me wonder if you can take off the top speed limiter? Great thinking Brian!

Yeah it's a dumb feature and a total gimmick. No way it's good for the starter to constantly turn the engine back on. I think really ECU tuning is where you can up the speed!

My 2021 auto stops like that too and not manual of course. It was super annoying because it happens often at a stop light. Welcome back B to the supra fam. I'm considering switching out the supra for a m3 or 4, but I may just keep this car too for my son

Yeah it's an annoying feature! M3 and M4 are amazing cars! I really liked the M2 we got to drive. Good option if you want a Supra like car but with practicality and not much more cost

I'm just curious, it seems like the reverse camera easily shows the things behind you in a wide eye view, what do you use your mirrors for in reversing that you wouldn't use the camera for? Is it just the growing up before reverse camera's thing that you prefer the mirrors?

I'm just used to using the mirror too. Mainly to line up the wheel with the lines or a curb. Rather see it in person then the camera angle. Can't quite see the distance of a curb to the tire if I'm lining the car up next to one

The interior of this car looks like a BMW previous gen interior in its pajamas. It’s all black but the same design but also missing some BMW-specific finishing bling. It’s still really cool though. Also, What do you do if you want to buy a 55 inch flatscreen at Costco with this car? Do you hold it out an open window with one hand like Superman while dodging all obstacles.

Yeah this is built by BMW and used their interior parts ;) Very nice interior overall tho. Thats why I added the red seatbelts. Needed some color. Definitely not the car to buy a big TV in! lol when I bought a new TV I borrowed my dads 4Runner

Technically it's all BMW parts. However since 2020, BMW is in the top 3 of most reliable cars. Toyota and Lexus are 1 and 2. BMW is 3. So it'd assume these won't really have many issues. 4 models years into the new Supra, nobody has had any issues. But if something happens out of warranty I'm sure it still won't be the worst thing to replace something

It won't. BimmerCode is for BMW cars. GR Corolla is a legit Toyota lol. Maybe there are some cool apps for it tho!

ASD is definitely active in both normal and sport modes. When I coded it off, it was so quiet in normal that I permanently kept it in sport

I think you can still stall the car. I have yet to stall in this Supra. But you could still stall it. Would be cool tho if the start/stop was turned on, and if you stalled. It automatically turned back on. Maybe I'll have to try that! But overall I don't like the feature one bit

@@BrosFOURRSpeed Locally the new Z proto spec averages about $65000 to 75000 with a private seller listing a proto spec for 85000. Most 2030 Z for any model are about 20000 over MSRP. I might start looking at the 2023 Supra to see if I can find a deal.
