Story 2: Of everyone in the room, the mother is the one who truly understands the value of literacy, just as those who’ve starved are the wisest on appreciating food. The wife wasn’t just mean, but also stupid. She missed that obvious fact as well as an opportunity for her children to really learn something. For them to get the incredible power of educational, to see homework as a privilege. What a cruel idiot.

STORY 3: NTA I cant stand how patents will force their new spouse and step kids down their bio kids throat. How the mother basically forced OP to call her stepfather Dad, forced her out of her own bedroom, and forced her to share her belongings with the twins, not to mention how she treated her daughter… Clearly the mom is picking her new family and setting them as a higher priority then her biological kids own well-being and happiness. Calling her daughter a selfish spoiled brat, selfish bitch, and even bringing the stepsiblings to a very important dinner where they weren’t invited shows how little Mom cares about her child. Even playing the whole “you’re abandoning me“ card.… The bitch abandoned her child a long time ago!

1st story...op mom's isn't illiterate...she does not have higher education but is obviously better educated than the wife because she has manners! unlike his wife.

Story 1: Hubby and I worked together in the same office building/floor (different offices within floorplan) doing the same job (for different departments). Our commute was 90 minutes one way, so we were in each other's pockets all day and night. In the office space I was in, I shared it with another person, doing the same job as both of us, for yet another department... and she was dating hubby before I met him. This was all going on for four years, until I got pregnant, and the company restructured. The woman hubby dated? Had become a wonderfully close friend, both she and her sister (of fond memory). We had no problem all working together, because we were all FRIENDS FIRST. Hubby and I are coming towards our 32nd wedding anniversary, and we're still in touch with the ex-girlfriend.

My sister finally took her to the ER last night she has pneumonia, is septic, has some elevated cardiac enzymes, super dehydrated and her electrolytes are low. So yeah now dealing with that.....

Story 2: Maybe OP could arrange to earn less. And if his wife doesn't like having to live within their new means then she can just go out and work two jobs to fund her posh lifestyle, the one she won't have time for anyway because she will always be working. Then she might start to grasp the value of interpersonal relationships over material pursuits, or at least the need to balance the two.

Story 1: NTA. Your dating and personal life is your business, not your boss's. Also, your boyfriend is lucky to have a woman as secure as you are. Most women would not be, and that's understandable. However, you are and that's all that matters.

22:05 100% this one. ESH. Obviously the kids parents should pay for a replacement but wtf kind of laptop did this kid have?!? Ive custom built amazing computers in my time and the most a cust build ever cost was $1700 & it wouldnt have been worth $1400 resale the minute it became used. Maybe an Alienware, maybe a MacBook but even then it must be top-of-the-line to be worth $1400 used.

Go to assistant manager, tell them you need their advice. Tell them their is an absolute shitshow at work who feels entitled to give their opinion on your life without even knowing you and that its super unprofessional. Tell your supervisor that you don't want to name any names and get that person into trouble but you just would like to know how to tell a garbage human being (who feels they have the authority to insert themselves into other peoples personal life while at work) that just because they have no personal life doesn't entitle them to have open opinions on other peoples private life. Tell your supervisor that you came to them because they always have a fruity take on everything you DONT have a problem with, so maybe they have a hot take on something you DO have a problem with.

Story 3: Why do bad parents always choose their new relationships/new families over their children? Poor OP.........No wonder her loving dad got divorced from her manipulative mom. Good grief........(٥↼_↼)
