UPDATE: Officer Kicked out of the Army| Domestic Violence| Resources

Update: I am an Army Officer currently in the process of involuntary separation, having shared my experience as a survivor of domestic assault.
My mission now transcends my personal status within the Army; I am committed to dismantling the culture that victimizes survivors.
I'm putting forth every effort to amplify my voice and draw attention to this issue. I'm leveraging every available resource to ensure that this injustice is not ignored or swept under the rug.

Bria fellow female Army vet. Keep fighting young lady! I was sexually harassed by my CO as I was his driver. Thank God he took my no as serious. I never reported him, and at my age now (65)I regret that. My concern is it prob still continued to happen to other females. But I was young and scared and it was in 1985. I thought and prayed we were getting better in the military. However, like all professions there are dogs and I guess it will always happen. The deal is the Leadership needs to be supportive of these claims. I’m sick for you…esp as an officer. Please keep fighting and know that God has your back in the long run and He will never leave you nor forsake you. To the extent that you allow Him to guide you I know you will end up with justice on your side! The abuser deserves to be the one being separated, not you! Another reason is his drinking issues…however that is def the climate in the military for most. I quit drinking a few years after I got out when I became a mom, and have been sober and clear for 33 years. Make sure you have all your medical papers and other documentation(I know you do, but as a mom and grandmom I have to “make sure” you’ve got it all together for the fight. I’d tell you the same if you were one of mine…and in a way, you are, you are my fellow Army sister. 🫡 🇺🇸Fight for your career, you’ve worked too hard! Fight for yourself mostly! And fight for your benefits. My husband and I are both army vets and I’ll tell you, idk where we’d be if we didn’t have our VA insurance. Love you my girl and praying for you rn! 🙏🏼🇺🇸

@Jasoncarter610 This jr officer reported a DV, and broadly speaking, alledges stonewalling and persecution, and unjustified chaptering out of the service. I say alledges, because I haven't seen a 15-6, nor any investigative preliminary and supplemental reports. Further, 1LT Feathers, either by intentional design or by gross short-sidedness, effectively stalls/stonewalls us with the key details. @Brinappytaste - Consider these questions, which would simply make any scuttlebutt inert ordinance: Has a 15-6 concluded? What chapter in DoD directives or ARs is cited for your involuntary separation? How were your last 4 OERs? Outstanding? Average at least? No demerits? -- Respectfully, the team MVP doesn't get chaptered out for doing the right thing and filing a report. Help us help you... Conclusions, like those listed above, aren't hard to reach, especially in the current climate of accusations = guilt. Qualifying your public statements is key to your case. Take this for what it's worth, you need to revamp your whole SMM program. There's a lot of RUMINT floating around. Get ahead of it. Or, whatever...
