Part 2 of my military journey, where I share my story of "getting kicked out of the Army, after reporting a domestic assault"
In Part 1, I recently came forward about a traumatic experience involving a fellow Officer, someone I once trusted deeply. This decision has set off a series of events that have put me on a path I never could have anticipated. I've had to fight for myself every step of the way
I will do anything in my power to ensure my voice is heard and that justice prevails. This journey has tested my strength, resilience, and faith in the system, but I remain steadfast in my pursuit of justice and a new beginning.
I will continue to post updates, my civilian transition and my healing journey.

I am a female retired Air Force Major who was enlisted for half of my 25 years. Please get your medical records and all documents (including anything stating your not fit for duty due to your assaults) so you can get VA disability. You should at a minimum get it for mental health and PTSD. I am so sorry that you're going through all of this. I hate to say it but the Army has such a bad reputation for how they treat women. Don't get me wrong, the Air Force has issues as well, but majority of sexual assault cases I hear about are in the Army. I pray your case is resolved and you're able to continue your career and leave on your own terms, when the time is right for you!

As a U.S. Army veteran myself I’m truly sorry from the bottom of my heart that happened to you. I truly am. When bad things happened to me I often wondered why do bad things happen. I wondered why god let that happen to good people who follow him. I know it’s hard. I’m very sorry. I pray you get better and get to stay in the U.S. Army. As a company overall it’s a great job. It’s just some people in there that are very bad people just like any company on Earth.

Well said, I too am a female Army Vet. I was sexually harassed by my Colonel when I was his driver. Thank God he took my no for no. And I never reported him. As an older(65) year old, I now regret that. But I was young and scared. I’m praying for you Bri, God bless you and keep your eyes on Jesus and you will receive healing. I have from an initial SA I had at 13.

I’m right there with you. It’s like when you rely on your chain of command to do the right thing the act like there inconvenienced by what you’re telling them. Or worse the aggressor get the pity and you get the blame.

I thought I yelled a lot at my screen in part 1...part 2 is a doozy. He sync'd your email account with his to read your info? Violated your privacy by searching through your docs and photos? AND had the nerve to withhold your passport from you until you reached the airport? I am listening to your videos after the fact (almost a year later). Thank you for sharing your experience, for standing up for yourself (which largely doesn't occur in the military in my experience) and for using your notes and reflection to be able to assist someone else in the future. Okay, listening again...

@@brinappytaste I'm glad you've found some peace with this. He will get his. People like that don't actually learn from their behavior until they are held accountable for it. Unfortunately, he will victimize someone else and it will catch up with him then.
