Thank you so much, between speed tech in Feniex Abrams those are the brands that are very affordable and they do exactly what you need them to do in security, we ain't doing high speed chases or anything like that so we don't necessarily need the brightest

Great job on the car! I was thinking maybe some lights for the bottom of the mirror for side lighting, but you went all out and got the bars for the rocker panel - good stuff! Don't be scared of weird shifting in a Ford. The 2014 Escape I drove from brand new to 180K miles did jerky shifting, would randomly miss gears on a fairly regular basis... and guess what, my 2019 F150 does the same thing, but way less - last week it straight up missed 3rd gear, I let off the accelerator and it went back to normal - it has 138K miles on it now.

@@commanderhall848 on the Escape - it was under warranty the first several times it happened, made the dealer look at it, they couldn't find anything. I just figured it was a Ford thing.... never thought the Escape would make it to 60K miles... but it tripled that on the original powertrain.

Same year I have.. mines is the sel, though. keep an eye on that water pump. I just had to replace mine ... $1500

@commanderhall848 yep... some will say $3000 to $5000 like Dobbs told me, but I'm in illinois, so you gonna have to shop around. Our cars are known for the water pump going out all of a sudden and the battery.

The reason for the high cost of the water pump replacement is that the 3.3, 3.5 and 3.7 side mount engines in the Taurus, Explorers and such, all have the water pump inside the front of the motor, powered by the timing chain. In order to replace the pump, you have to tear open the front of the motor. Honestly, that $1500 isn't a bad price at all, many places charge $2k and up, a buddy of mine was able to get his done for $1800. As mentioned, definitely watch for any leaking at all, if you don't catch it and the coolant mixes with your oil, major damage to the engine is possible...

You should just add a few T3s to each side of the panel or some Z6s from STL or whoever you like. Just another idea of course. Anyways!! Car is looking good 👍

I don't know how you wired in the headlight flasher but just know that the taurus and the police interceptor sedan both have the high beam and low beam on the same bulb. Whenever you hit the high beams there's a motor that adjusts the headlight lens to shine further down the road. Make sure that your headlight flasher isn't wired into that motor. If the headlight lens is moving with every single flash, you will burn out that motor very fast

How did you run your wiring into the car from the grille?

I remove the radiator cover and I was able to run the wires through the grill and I head them along the firewall on the outside of the battery you can't see the wires at all in the engine bay
