New immigration minister said that they will be giving more priority to clear the backlogs. Does it includes our 190 offshore files (waiting for grant for past 2 and half years)

It’d be nice if those waiting forever for permanent residency from offshore could qualify for a working holiday visa that they wouldn’t have otherwise (already finished my working holiday in 2017 and waiting to get back). Thanks for the hard work, Karl. Keep it up!

I still dont get if they actually "check" up on you. Like how would they know if you study for 4 months? Do you have to register what do you do somewhere and what is considered "studying"?

3.39 he says you can be granted this visa 3 times in succession.....does this mean if I don't complete my first full year or the regional work, and I retur home to my home country, a few years later I can re apply and do my first year all over again?

I am on a 417 visa here. Started my current job 1st June 2022. Does it mean that even in January 2023 I won't have to quit? (my 6 months will have lapsed, hence I won't need to apply for the permission anymore right? As I will have already gone above the 6 months limit anyway.)

i’m doing my application for 417 visa and feel so out of my depth lol , for the character check i’ve decided to do the form 80 , but it doesn’t say anywhere whether that’s enough or if i should be doing penal clearance too? and if it gets rejected first time for not having the penal clearance am i going to have to pay the application fee again to resubmit ?

@@Krmtx Don't give up. Options for us US citizens are limited in terms of WHVs. I did 3 years in Australia on WHV and then became a permanent resident. I also applied for the NZ WHV the day before turning 31. I got my NZ WHV granted as well, but will probably never use it anymore now that I'm an Aussie permanent resident (we can go to NZ and live and work there as freely as we want being an Aussie PR). I am looking at going to Ireland on a WHV soon. You should look into that as a US citizen. They have NO age limit - the only thing is: you must have enrolled in school or graduated recently (I'm graduating with my associates degree in spanish this semester).
