Hello, I got 489 a while ago , still to move South Australia. I wanted to confirm the designated areas are now specified under 8539 condition for SA as adelaide is not designated area anymore but when we applied and designated area for SA was entire state. Just wanted to check if we live anywhere within SA regional area or only specified designated area for SA?

Hi Karl and team, I have read on a forum that it is possible to transfer a 491 application to a 189 application. I have a 491 submitted and have recently been invited to apply for the 189. My question is, can I transfer the 491 application to the 189. If so, would it be a ‘snap shot’ at the new date of lodgement? Any help would be very much appreciated.

You can apply after three years so that would be in 2023 as long as your tax income should be $59400 in three yrs

HelloSir, Like many 489 visa applicants I also lodged my visa long ago, i.e. on 3rd of October 2019( 33 months ago). On DHA website the max. time is 32 months for 90% which I surpass a moth ago. Here, I requesting on behalf all the applicants including whom are severely impacted from this extremely long delay to take up our case with the concerned authorities. thanks Syed Asif Ali Shah

Respected Sir, Subject:- Regional (provisional) subclass 489 pending visa applications First of all Subclass 489 visa was suspended in 16 November,2019 and they have not cleared the files till date.The time when we lodged our files was processing time 6-8 months and we were supposed to receive our visa by April 2020 maximum.But as we are all aware of the fact that covid came and everything was closed so we are not complaining regarding that but, Now when the borders have been open then the moment we are about to reach the timeline increase the timeline on DHA(Department of Home Affairs Australia)which is not fair as this subclass has no new applications.We request to sir, please address this issue as this is just a regional(provisional)visa for 4 years and also,my occupation in critical list. Bimal you will be given 4 years when your visa is granted so there is enough time for you to get to Australia and meet the PR requirements. Thanks for watching

As per Immi website Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 489) (invited pathway) closes to new applications from 16 November 2019 With the introduction of the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491) due to commence on 16 November 2019, the Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 489) invited pathway will be closed to new applications on 16 November 2019. Important dates to note: 10 September 2019-last day for intending migrants to receive an invitation to apply for the subclass 489. You can't submit any EOIs in SkillSelect after this date. 15 November 2019-last day for people who we have invited to apply for a subclass 489 visa to lodge a subclass 489 visa application
