12:04 I just don’t understand why you would just “pop “ in a filament and print. You pay a premium for the performance with these machines, why hinder it. How difficult is it when you introduce a new filament into your shop to just run the calibration and write the “k” factor on the spool?

The title is incorrect. This is not firmware, this is software. Firmware is the machine code that controls the motors, extruder etc. What you are updating is the software/slicer. There's no 1.7 firmware. The current firmware as of today is OTA version 01.06.05.01 (20230921). When you uploaded this video it might have been ever lower.
