Hello, I know this is a bit of an older post, but I'm curious as to how you were able to have a landscaping business at 13, as you wouldn't have been able to drive at that point. Did you only operate in your neighborhood, did your parents drive you to people's houses, ect. Just wondering since I'm not old enough to drive quite yet and am looking at possible income opportunities. Thank you for your time, have a great rest of your day!

@No_Boxing_No_Life25 Жыл бұрын
@@eveleinnyokabi California is ideal for lawn care. 👌 In spite of all the competition, there's STILL tons of work out here. Too much! Weather is absolutely perfect, lawns aren't huge, and you can easily get $160 to $200 on one client per month. The side gigs in tree trimming is where a lot of the money is at. Just last week I made $600 in 4 hours on a $1,450 job.. 2 of our guys did most of the work. If you don't like yard work or being outdoors then this job isn't for you. But if you enjoy being outside and doing lawn care, well, the reward can be life changing. My immigrant father raised a family of 5, bought our home, cars and took my sister thru college all thanks to lawn care. And he did it one lawn at a time. Today, he's boss man. He hasn't gone out on routes for a few years now. All he does is drive around in a separate company truck checking up on clients, delivering small plants, and giving estimates on potentially new clients. He hasn't pushed a lawnmower in probably 10 years. And that's because he doesn't have to anymore. That should always be your goal.

It’s possible to start with 300 dollars. If you’re mechanically inclined go on eBay and buy some old ass commercial lawn equipment that just need new carbs, replace the carbs and then use your personal vehicle and claim it on your taxes cus it’ll be eligible to be written off so then all you need is customers, start in the hood where the income is low and the grass is tall and offer 15 dollar lawn services but also call the city board for properties that need to be cut due to lawn violations and they prolly will pay you

35% profit margin is not the right way to go in landscaping, you have to facter in you time+cost+mileage. So compare to your profit margin if I get you to do a job for me that is going to cost you $300 material + 5 hours in labor +35% that will be around $400. So you will make about $20 an hour - Tax so after tax would be around $15 after tax.

Why are there so many of these videos based in the US with relatively ordinary businesses with some thumbnail saying $22,000!!! I assume we’re talking turnover because if we’re not then there’s something wrong with the USA.

It's surprising how much money businesses make, regardless of the type; that's why we strongly encourage people to start one too 🙏

I'm in Boca Raton and the market is completely saturated....I've found a niche in the industry that "nobody wants to do" and it's mostly labor.....I only started about 2 months ago and with only "free" advertising have been able to pull in 4 lawn maintenance accounts and 5 landscaping jobs 🎉.....

IMHO: Buy a house around here ASAP instead of renting an apartment! The prices are only going up and you could use part of your house as a biz write off! Keep up the hard work!

I did this with no debt, but most those monthly numbers are revenue, not profit. I think the lawyers are probably making more. :)
