Hey #barrebabes!! New 31 Day Barre Workout Challenge for May 2021

Our Upper Body Barre Workout routine will tone your arms and improve your postural muscles, leaving you standing tall and looking firm. This routine uses light weights, we recommend 1-3 lbs. as you will be doing isometric training - small movements and high repetitions within each exercise. Led by Barre Fitness creator, Ella Jotie (follow her online @ellabarrebella).
3 Upper Body Barre Workout Tips:
1. AMP IT UP! Combine this workout with our Ultimate Plié Workout for a full body burn- • Best Barre Workout
2. POSTURE! Stand tall in every position. Use your core muscles to lift and lengthen out of the hips keeping the torso long, the shoulders relaxed and the chest wide.
3. USE YOUR MUSCLES, NOT MOMENTUM! Keep the pulses small and controlled. Make a strong mindbody connection and contract deep into the muscle, stay focused on the muscles you are working to get the most out of every pulse.

I have to agree one of the best videos, I have found. Since, I have knee issues, this routine keeps me mindful of my posture & I do not do all the lower leg work, the upper body routine rocks! Thanks!

Couldn’t make it to Barre class today so I checked out this awesome upper body barre video! I definitely felt the burn by the end (means it’s working!!!) :-) Glad I had an option to get a quick work out in from home!! 🙌🏼

Can I ask a question do you always have to take your shoes off to do bare and can I leave my socks on for it? Since I don't like being barefoot

Great question! We do not wear shoes when doing Barre because it is important to work through our feet to create a foundation for deeper connection to the exercises. We prefer to wear socks as it helps to retain heat and keep our body/muscles warm while we workout. We suggest grippy socks to prevent slipping and to ensure safety. Hope that helps!

What size weights are you using?

Hi Kimberly! We generally suggest using 2 lbs weights to start and moving up to 3 lbs then 5 lbs as you build strength and endurance. Hope that helps :)

why do you chop up all the workouts instead of having full length???

Our Barre Fitness online workouts are shorter in length, because we know that life is busy and you don't always have time for a full workout. It also gives you the freedom to customize your workout by pairing a few of our vids together. Enjoy!
