Been doing these for ages, never had an issue and seen decent gains. Everybody's different I guess.

People have different type of collar bones so maybe u got the best one with least chance of inpingment :)

The RISK is very high. Not guaranteed that you'll get it. There's plenty of other safer options that will give you the same results. No reason to do upright row unless you want to be good at the upright row lol

You can do these with a wide grip on a smith machine while also keeping your arms out at the acromial plane (15-30 degrees in front) and this exercise BLOWS UP your side delts like nothing else does! Just lead with your elbows and stop when your upper arms are parallel to the floor, no higher please!

you need to experiment with grip width that suits you and doesn't cause pain; I bring the bar up to my forhead and no pain...any lower and pain. Also, if you have pain try dumbbells.

at 0:09 you put the upright row, but also a model without the uprigh row. I agree 100% with this video. But looking at the wrist position of the upright row itself... Is that position not way to unnatural also, and also a reason not do this exercise?

I always avoided these but tried a few times this week but low reps and light weight. Feels ok but will be cautious .it always felt unnatural and thats why i didn't do

@@iam9061 Any sign of shoulder discomfort? Looking to add a compound movement where the side delts are the limiting factor but there's been so much fuss about this exercise.

Using dual cables or rope or dumbbells with slight knee bend for leverage is kind of a solution

Same not bad but I can feel it when I lift my arm way up it's annoying I think it did something to my rotater cuff

I will never do these. Im sure for some people its fine but il save my shoulders for something else. I dont need to look completely cut up. Just need a lil pump in the arms and back/chest im good

No, shoulder impingement is bad and this exercise puts you at a high risk of developing it.

Damn , bruv. R we twins ? I did it only twice in my life. Both times my shoulder was injured for days. When the trainer showed me this workout for th first time, I knew something was wrong. The angle was wrong. I stopped doing it
