Hi Scott, I really like these photo walks. Always special to look through the eyes of another. Good pictures that belong well to the recipe! I myself have also been to Vancouver Island once, so I know a bit of the atmosphere. As for my last name: the "ij" is a separate letter in Dutch and you pronounce it as your "y". If you say "Frey", it’s already pretty close. I enjoyed watching your video again. Thank you.

Be interesting to see you collate some recipes for Autumn or fall. Often hard to find ones which work for that time of year.

Nice colors. So can I set this colors on my Xt4? And is this S.O.O.C photo or edited by Pts,LR?

JPG's straight out of the camera. Should work well on the XT4 too. Thanks for watching!

Hey Scott, love these images! I tried out this recipe on my x100v and my shadows are coming out DARK. My image is looking very very contrasty. I double checked and triple checked that I inputted the recipe correctly- any chance I’m missing something or what you wrote down has a misplaced + or -? Thanks! Edit: I’m realizing that your images were shot on a very overcast day. Maybe that’s my problem - I’m in sunny midday Florida trying this recipe out for the first time.

Might be the overcast sky like you mentioned. Haven't had a try with a sunny day yet but will and see what happens. Cheers!

Hi Ethan, great that you're giving this recipe a try. Remember that recipes are designed for special occasions or topics. On my site (see url above) you can see several examples. A series with fairly sunny weather (I have overexposed this one - that can be done very well with Classic Negative) and in album 3 (Saul Leiter) I underexposed and the shadows are heavy. Note: multi light measurement is standard 2/3 stop too dark at Fuji. So a correct exposure is +2/3 EV. The Saul Leiter serie is exposed mostly at 0 EV multi. Can you do something with this?

Hi Scott. Do I take it you live on Vancouver Island? I am also a X100V user and live in Mill Bay. I enjoyed your slide show. I am also documenting small towns on the Island. If you live close, or perhaps not so close, we could do some shoots together?

Yes I do! Do you have an Instagram or share your images somewhere?
