I never understood the Marine Corps weight philosophy. Okinawa, 1988, we had some very muscular guys that were just built solid but weren’t fat. During inspections they’d poke and prod and measure these guys and put them up n weight control. They’d have them try on all their uniforms. To me, these guys looked just like how a Marine should look. We had a few WM’s in our company. Some of them were ridiculously out of shape. They were always immediate “run drops” during PT. When the inspectors got to them they’d say “looking good Marine!” and not even mess with them. 😮 How does THAT work?

Spiritually, intellectually, and soulfully such a presence, such a flow of faith infused consciousness.........so many life experiences to share. Brother, have you ever felt the Almighty leading you to serve as a protector of all of our souls as an ordained Minister? That is where the "War" rages every day. If He hasn't called you to serve in this capacity then by all means continue on your present path. But if He has called upon you and you feel it in your soul then what an amazing spiritual warrior you would be. Semper Fi Brother.

Yea man i can relate to the inner voice of God of guidance and following your instincts. The other day i almost got hit by a car i guess the rain was too strong and idk man i guess i got lucky cus they seemed to stop right before they could hit me and i like felt weird bro i saw in grafitti my last name right Infront of me on the other side of the street i was crossing... And i remember checking making sure i could cross and i never saw a car and something told me how i should take off my hoodie even though its raining super hard and when i took it off i got hit by all the light of the car on my face... And i was about to get hit and there was my last name right Infront of where i would of been hit by the car on the bus bench and i thought wow wth what a coincidence...

Totally feelin ya devildog I was 3rd bat 3rd Marines 96-2000 3rdMEF 1st MEU .... Max weight for my height was 185.. I had a weight waiver my entire 4 years . I weighed 205 at 77% body fat . I always did max pullups & situps and my run was between 18 and 18:30. So my worst PFT was 297. They sent me to tripler for 5 hours of tests gave me a waiver and said !"hey Marine "you have a muscular build" .,.. thanks Captain obvious I told him. So yeah my unit if you were 300 PFT are you didn't have to compete in the mornings you have the option to do it on your own as long as you're a 300 PFT you can sleep in so that was another extra motivated to make sure you hit a 300. I always viewed as being a marine that there should be no excuse to be less than like a 280 PFT you got to stay in that first class otherwise you might as well just join the army.

1:24:07 Absolutely Golden Also the reason I disdain religion. From my experience most in power of religious organizations are week people and misuse the translation of "Meek" to justify their weekness. Meekness is not weakness - it's the absolute opposite. Christ is not a pacifist. Him being our Example we too are not to be either. It's very difficult to get people who grew up in Religon/Church (I did not) to understand & accept this. In Luke 22:36 Christ commands his followers to be armed with a sword & it is noted in the verse 38 the Apostles already have two with them. God's crew was physically armed on earth while in His Presence. On the other side of the coin (and as you mentioned) violence isn't the 1st response nor is it solution unless there is no other way & you must defend yourself. Even then meet the opposing force with just enough need to stop the attack. If someone with evil intents fights to the last breath then there is no other choice. He who lives by the sword dies by the sword, but we are to be armed with a sword. What is a sword (military weapon) today but a firearm? It's been way too long I've heard a powerful Testimony of Solider for Christ. You are truly a Paladin. Don't ever give up - but from hearing your Testimony (as your Father told you when he was shot) I know you don't need to hear it from me.

Visited Haiti and Cuba on mission trips. Spirituality abounds all the more in those places. We had Sorcerors & Witches casting spells on us daily as we drove by the square in Palmira Cuba to continue building the Brethren In Christ Church there. Across the street was witch (who was also a prostitute) that repented & came to Christ one night after we testified to her. 1:13:45 Luke 10:19 Allelujah!!!!

God Bless Brother - His purpose in your life wasn't completed manifested in the moment you submitted to The Spirit for the goodness of your fellow Marines instead of giving into The Spirit of Vengeance by not executing the MAMs in your custody after the IED explosion that killed you. @50:33 Amen & Allelujah The Power of the Name of Christ manifested is absolutely beautiful. Romans 10:13 "All who call upon the name of the Lord will be saved." @1:00:31 Your Testimony of Faith is deeply moving.
