You know, I really have to give credit to Usain Bolt as a sprinter. He made it look easy for a lot of us and made a lot of us underestimate how difficult it is to go so fast. Even when he seems off, he would always have some sort of miracle and 2015 showed that. Watching the 2022 men's 100m finals, it was close, stacked, pretty fast but somewhat underwhelming for like 99% of us as we thought a low 9.7 was going to happen and even some thought a >9.68 was going to happen. It was "only" a 9.86. Yes there was a headwind and it wasn't as warm, but that 2015 final was also around 70 degrees and even more of a headwind of -0.5. Plus Bolt still ran a 9.77 in 2013 with rain, headwind and even colder weather than the 2022 finals. I think we get too ahead of ourselves at times. Bolt would always produce his best when it matters. By the way talking about temperature, Bolt ran 9.63 with 63 degree weather which is insane how it was cold that night for sprinting and he still managed to come relatively close.

Afasa Powell was robbed of the 2012 world record in the 4 by 1 due to injury. His replacement was Michael Frater 5:57. Frater (never broke 9.9) is no where in the league of powell even after powells prime but because Blake ran the race of his life and Bolt ran faster than in 2008 (37.10) they got the WR in 2012 (36.84 ran 0.26 sec faster) even with Fraters slow time. I just made this comment cuz im seeing all these great Powell races and 1 shitty Frater race, cuz usually he doesnt even make the finals. Dont get me wrong Frater is a fast runner but not worthy of a world record. 2016 Powell was put in cuz even tho he was not in top shape still faster than Frater.
