Lindsey needs to be reminded that the US didn't come close to getting bombed by Japan or Germany. Hiroshima and Nagasaki were totally uneccesary, which was lied about for decades. That's the problem, it's been generations since *real* war has been on our shores, never in the air age, and we, along with Antarctica, escaped both world wars, so it's insanely abstract to us. Nuclear and fire bombing were war crimes, which were instituted as such because of WWII. FOR A REASON.

(sorry if this is off point a little. but i think it'll help address the typical republican response you're pointing to.) We gotta talk bigger on this issue, because "revisionism" is now on the table. NONE of the war would have ever been anything at all, if it weren't for people PAYING for it. Lets take your example of the two nuclear bombings - which isn't good enough - for the Japanese people murdered that day. The politics leading up to the decision to drop the bombs were well known about, by both Japan and the US. There is evidence out now, in the form of a "pamphlet that was dropped" on Hiroshima the day before the bombing. That implies that there was fore-knowledge of the bombing, for at least a week or two, in order to prepare the pamphlet, and that it was dropped by Japanese military. So, when the Enola Gay entered the skies about Japan, there wasn't another plane or flak cannon in sight. No anti-air battery shot down the Enola Gay, which was almost entirely vulnerable. US diplomats would've been part of this decision making processes for months, or even years, before hand. Your point on the non-necessity of this is very important - and a good one - since the US and Russian could've joined forces to "end the war" in Japan. Now, the only reason I press this issue, is for the fact that war is murder. Mass murder. By people in power, with people who own the military gov't. Disinformation is the real war, so that your decision making is guided to their purposes. So, lets work together, to figure this all out, so that our kids might have a chance at a free world.

Regarding holding Israel accountable for war crimes against the Palestinian people, "No. We don't have a double standard." 😝 Hamas is a CIVILIAN militia organization, so it would only make sense that they operated _in_ CIVILIAN areas.
