I ended up getting about 14 oz of fluid out of that first bleeder (front left/ driver's side) on my 2012 F150 5.0L, but only about 3-4 oz total out of all 3 other bleeders combined. That normal? (Thankfully, I had a master cylinder auto-refiller bottle installed to keep the reservoir full).

So you sit in the truck with the bleeders cracked and run that operation then? How much fluid did it bleed out? Did you have to refill it at all throughout the process to make sure it didn’t go empty?

For this step, you are not bleeding the entire system, you are only bleeding the ABS module. And it gives you instructions to go to each wheel and open the bleeder screw one by one. So you don't actually stay in the car to do it. You have to go out, come back in, go out and come back in Etc

Horsepower House ok, that makes more sense. Will tackle it this weekend. Did you need the full license or the regular 2-month license to access that part of FScan?

I think you can just get the free temporary extended license. But mine has already expired. So I went ahead and sprung for the lifetime extended license. Definitely worth it.

@@DLITINTHEHOUSE the software walks you through it step-by-step. You will see what I mean when you get to it. But you will have to get out of the vehicle and open each bleeder valve one by one.

You worded that incorrectly. For hosts running Windows, there is the regular (free) license, and there is the extended/paid license, and then there is a 2 month free trial of the extended license. On the regular license, ABS module activation for bleeding was available until version 2.3 when it was removed and only available in newer versions in the extended license and free trial of the extended license. @@DLITINTHEHOUSE

Can you do this with the basic license or does it require the extended?
