Using The K-Supreme Plus SMART With No WIFI

The new Keurig K-Supreme Plus SMART is designed to be a WIFI enabled smart device that con be controlled using the panel, an app, or even an Alexa enabled device.
For those of us that don't care to connect this brewer I wanted to demonstrate how easy it is to use the machine without connecting it to the internet or your WIFI network.
You lose almost no functional at all. You can't name your favorites or brew from your bed...and you can't disable all the connectivity disabled screens but other than that it performs just like you want a nice k-cup coffee maker to - it makes a good cup of coffee quickly, quietly, and with lots of brew settings to choose from.

I tried using the san Francisco bay k cups which look similar to the brand you use and they wouldn't work right. Going to have to try Glorybrew. Glad the machine still works without WIFI, it would be kind of stupid if it didn't.

What would be fantastic is if Keurig could license Breville's ThermoJet 3 second heating element. Someone's got to invent a better way to brew an individual cup .. ideally using fresh ground coffee. I've been considering the Technivorm Cup One Coffee Brewer with a grinder.

If you were to do a remote or schedule brew. Will it still brew a cup without a cup in place (if you forgot to place one).

How did you setup the favorites without wifi? My brewer's wifi just died so I can't edit or add favorites without the app which can't connect.

I think if people don’t want the WiFi option they could save money and just buy the Supreme Plus. I have that machine and love it.

If I use third party refillable k cups my k supreme plus smart will not recognize it and will not work. If I turn the wifi off would that solve the problem?

All I want is the difference between the K-Supreme plus and the K-Supreme smart! Is the Smart the K-Supreme Plus with Wi-Fi? They could have kept the Wi-Fi and gave me a longer stay on time! Like my K79 Platinum Plus!

The one-liner answer is yes, it's just a K-Supreme Plus with WIFI and an app. I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it or if the app and wifi connectivity is just a means for Keurig to get you to subscribe to their stuff and buy other things through the app. It looks like it tracks you when connected as it claims they keep track of how many k-cups you've used and can notify you when you need to stock up again. With the ID it looks like they would also know what you are buying to better market to you too. Yeah, hitting the brew button when I'm still in bed sounds nice since I grab my phone most days before getting out of bed but is that worth it? I'll make my comparison video when I feel I'm able to do it best but that's a good summary of my thoughts right now.

I actually don't like the Smart Brew, but I can't figure out how to disconnect it from my wifi so I don't have to use that option!

Those pods brew without a filter. I recently became aware that there are 2 oils in coffee that raise your cholesterol.

Overkilll. I can't fathom why anyone would need all that unnecessary technical crap just for a simple cup of coffee. I'll stick with dropping pods in a machine and pushing one button.
