You know, at first I didn't care for the fast forwarding. But it grew on me. You cut what would have been a much longer video down to just the good parts, but still showed the rest without cutting it out. Good work!
@USMiner8 жыл бұрын
Thanks, yeah I'm not a big fan of watching a bunch of digging and honestly my banter isn't all that amusing, so I like to speed things up but like you say still show the important parts without making any cuts. Usually I get it all in 1 shot but this nugget was an exception as it took quite a bit of time to chisel out.

@tonybobay62765 жыл бұрын
Study old maps of areas that have a history of gold prospecting. Search for all the ghost towns and existing towns, and then work out from there. Then study old geological records in your public records and find spots that correlate. Buy some land along a creek, and make sure to buy the mineral rights. Viola! Prospecting in a nutshell, where and what you go after is a product of your knowledge, cunning, resources, and fortitude. Just like the good old days

My only question is did you recheck all the dirt you dug out with your detector??? I've seen people miss out on one treasure while going after anther... So many get digging so fast that they throw out the first treasure because their going after another one. Always for getting to recheck their dirt pile in case they've dug one out... I till my boys to check and recheck your hole and the dirt you've dug out. The pin pointer is your best friend, and a good rock hammer, a 2.5lb hand slug, and a good 24inch crowbar/pry bar are your power tools... The treasure is coming out a lot easier with the power tools... Thanks for sharing, Be blessed... BBE..

GPZ 7000 good detector most certainly, but that slug you found would've roared even using an old standard SD 2000. I've found many pieces over the last 25 yrs with pulse induction machines by Minelab from the SD 2000 all the way up to the current GPZ 7000. Both standard and modified detectors for enhanced depth and sensitivity. I found a 1 and 3/4 ounce nugget at depth of 1.1 metres thru couple layers of clay, calcrete pipe clay. It was sitting on top of bedrock which was decomposed basalt here in western Australia. Great video and a very good find.

Gold refineries buy it for around 80% spot. Nuggets go for spot to 2x spot or higher depending on rarity and collectibility on ebay, forums, etc. There are also gold buyers who resell collectable nuggets to collectors and generally pay around spot or a little higher, you can negotiate if you have something nice. However, if you haven't found enough gold already to merit selling, then selling should not even be a worry since it usually takes people many years to figure out how to prospect well enough to find enough gold to sell where the price actually matters.
