You have absolutely no idea how crazy it was watching Federer rise to become the GOAT. Only people who were able to watch him at that point in time understand just how great he was. NOBODY was as dominant for such a long stretch of time. The reason why people say he played in a weak era was because he MADE it that way, NOT because the players were actually weak.

A super star growing at Light speed, with no weakness whatsoever, where the best of Federer, Nadal, Djokovick is packed in one delightfull killing machine. Only Kyrgios can give some fair opposition with his outsdanding talent that became rock solid in this past year
@Igdrazil2 жыл бұрын
@VJ what is your point? A raising star of 18 years old making such a dévastation in only one year...and here smaching thé two first set, but being led 3/0 in the third...and ever since losing a game to win 6/3 in the third. What more? It's not that his oponent was weak, but that hé was overwhelmed by the Alcatraz killing machine. Almost two aces per game and two direct winners. The rest being Canons of Navarone, with fewer and fewer miss, as the weeks pass. Hé has all thé cumulative talents of Federer, Nadal, Djokovick, without none of their respective weakness. Hé is complète with a killing instinct, passionated liké Nadal but sweet as Federer. This is thé suprême mental spirit that will have nearly no possible opposition, except thé vert few other best. Kyrgios has some outstanding talent and gained so much in confidence and density in this past year. Hé destroyed Medvedev and was not even at his maximum. Hé is invredibly talented. Thé two games are even quote similar and their encounter will surely be outstanding
@paulhussey89812 жыл бұрын
@@Igdrazil his point and a valid one at that, was in response to your comment ie' only Kyrgios can give some fair opposition'. Considering that Sinner has beaten him twice in the last few months and is still on course for the final, your comment looks rather poorly thought out, doesn't it?
@Igdrazil2 жыл бұрын
@@paulhussey8981 Yes you might be right, but I'm talking about larger view of supreme talents. Now that the 3 Maestros, Federer, Nadal, Djocovick are getting "old", there is a burst of high talents, but on top of that dangerous "jungle", nevertheless, there is always very few that dominate a decade (at least). And I clearly see Alcarraz and Kyrgios as the two raising at light speed heads of this new elite. The question still little open is who might be the third head top player of this driving locomotive. I see several candidates, but nowbody yet clearly pulling his head out of the top 10. Some might win extraordinary matches. But not systematically. Some might also be a particular thorn to the top 2, because of particular miss match... But concerning Alcaraz, as Kyrgios, what is even more outstanding then their supreme technical talent and level, is their intelligence to adapt and find strategic killing solutions. That is exacly what made the last 3 top Federer, Nadal and Djokovick, so strong and devastating. They study fast their openent during a match to overcome some disadventages. Or at worse it takes a few matches before they find the killing key. One can watch Alcaraz during the 3 last months. How he tightened his little weaknesses here and there, to head toward unstopable killing machine, letting no chance to his openent by constant devastating hurricane of speed, power, precision, surprise, adaptation, tenacity, freedom, creativity... They are reaching unprecedent level. Almost each point is outstanding and exceptional
