Thank you so much for this insight! I'm trying to transfer into the Moody College of Communication at UT this fall. I am working on my essays at the moment, and honestly, it's one of those "I-have-no-idea-where-to-begin" type of moments. I feel more comfortable writing it now after watching. I have a 3.6 GPA (almost a 3.8 but got an 89 in one class), more than enough hours of transferable credit, as well as volunteer work, LOR, and some EC. I'm just hoping that my essay will be solid enough to gain entry!

Question: When reading an essay, what are some things they don't want to read or are tired of seeing in many application essays? Also, would it be dumb to mention that an 89 cost my 3.8 GPA to be brought down to a 3.6 in the essay?
