Great vid!! I noticed you mentioned you used a stainless steel bolt on aluminum brackets. Be mindful of premature corrosion due to dissimilar metals (electrolysis). Try to insulate/isolate with rubber or plastic. Don't know if it will be a thing in the application of use, but it is a thing. It'd suck if the tank broke off from a lil bump in the water...not much different then a lost fuel pump. Lost a master key on a crank shaft on a jet boat one time and was on a river bank in Alaska for 13 hrs whittling a smaller one out of a larger one once. Lil things can become a big thing quick. Again, awesome video! Thanks for bringing us along!

Have you considered making an aluminum cradle for a plastic tank? Also, per the haters corner, I found the electrical video helpful, even if it was farther than I was taking my build.

The gas tank is a great idea. I think I'd use a petcock valve as the vent. It can be tightened when not in use and you won't have to worry about faulty rubber seals. A second thing I might try is a dual supply, one pump and a second gravity fed. The dual system would require a shutoff valve on the gravity line to prevent backflow. Just ideas. Great video, I'm excited to see how it all turns out.

A plastic bag in that cardboard box would have been a "fun" fuel tank!

For a ventilation maybe try an gas cap with ventilation from a 3 gallon gastank.

Vibration is cracking the tank. Same thing happens on Briggs exhuast on gator tails. You might be able to fab some kind of rubber isolator for the brackets to cut down on vibration. Welds look good. Vibration is the culprit 99% of the time on these things.

G'day nice tank and I don't see anything wrong with your welds mate. If a weld holds its a good weld to me 👍

If I wanted to add a 12v fuel pump to my 670 what do I do with the hose that goes from the old fuel pump to the crank shaft?

Does Beaver Dam post discount codes or is there a way to get one?

What about a combo poling/casting platform and gas tank? You could run it up front or over the engine but isolated from the vibration of the engine.

Love the vids. This might be stupid but I'm new to the hobby I have a cat-c sib, would a mudrunner work on coastal waters or are they river only?

What if you take some aluminum right angles and rivet them to the tank to reinforce the corners

use an "old" fire extinguisher like an "old" water filled one, you could probably find one free and if it has water in it hose down a scooter😈😂 ....... awesome to watch your video, thanks for sharing
