Love the k5! I recommend do a backdate grill to the 70’s look with circle headlights. Lower it slightly and paint it an awesome 70’s color like light green or orange. Make it look less brodozer and more classic cute 4x4

I miss my 92 S10 4 door Blazer....It was great in snow....Mild lift kit, had the rear spare tire swingarm, rear roof spoiler, front grill guard, 3 piece aluminum skid plate.....I didn't think much of it at the time. But now really wish I still had it. To keep making it nicer, add a turbo or supercharger to the 4.3 V6....Some fender flares & wider wheels to address the problem of being tip over prone.

Dude , when i was growing up in the early 90s , my mom had a , i think 88-89 dodge daytona turbo , it had a 2.2l turbo in it and a 5 speed .. was one the coolest, funnest oldschool a kids mom could have 😅.. na all bs aside , it was rad af for its time and fun 😁.. anyways , cant weight for the crx to be semi finish to the point of raising hell 😅(cuz a project is never finished). I'm glad you thought about extending the hood scoop all the way forward. About your CRX front bumper openings if it doesn't cramp your style keeping them would be I believe a much needed cool air inlet for your engine compartment especially if you could duct it towards your throttle body

I had a 93 Daytona iroc, but the one you really want is the 92-93 iroc r/t 425 built between both years with a Lotus head 4 cylinder which is the only time Dodge ever had 1 horsepower per cubic inch. America's answer to the Toyota Supra and Dodge's broke ass couldn't keep up. They used to sell rwd V8 kits for those all the way up to 2005 before the aftermarket for import cars died out.

Hey man. Love the series. One thing though. I own a 90 CRX SiR with an authentic Mugen Pro Kit 2 body kit. That is not a Mugen, or even a Mugen style bumper, neither is the one in the rendering. The one that you purchased is what has been known in the past as a Bomex style front bumper. It has been made by many companies over the years. The closest thing you will find to a Mugen front bumper that will fit a USDM vehicle with a HF-Si front end would be the Wings West body kit, which that black CRX that you saw that you didn't like the door caps on, had a copy of the Wings West bumper on it. Authentic Wings West ones are made out of urethane and the fakes are made out of fibreglass. I hope that some of this information is useful to you. From what I can tell from that little clip of the rendering you showed, that was an OEM bumper with some kind of front lip on it.

Spoiler looks sick. Sir hood wouldnt fit without the fenders and headlights. Whole front end is dofferent with the Sir. Better to make your own. The front bu.per isnt a mugen. The black one at the farm u were looking at was the real mugen kit... the front bumper you got is a buddy club. Thats why theirs big oval holes

After you brush on the stripper cover it with some cheap plastic food wrap. It will help it stay wet longer and slow down the drying process so it works better.

We did a daytona like that in high school auto shop. Tube framed the whole car. Minitubbed, and dropped a supercharged 318 in it. Could never keep it straight, our teachers ended up crashing it. But we won first place at the Detroit Autorama with it before that happened.

One thing I was thinking that might look cool Cut out the center section of the hood and flip it upside down. So instead of sunk, it’s raised(probably why they did for the design of the Si-r hood. But put it at an angle, so it’s higher on the back than the rest of the hood giving you clearance for the larger engine - like a cowl hood.

I've noticed with sandblasting if there's anything bouncy on the surface it's hard to blast. I think the media just bounces off or the energy gets absorbed. If there's the smallest remnant of weather stripping or adhesive this always seems to be the last thing that comes off. You can use this to your advantage. Good 3M electrical tape makes a great mask if there's a machined surface you don't want to blast. The media seems to just bounce off of it.

I don't know what the actual name is but they make some sort of laser scraper that will take the rust off and leave it as bare metal. Halfass Kustoms has and still uses one of them for cleaning up rusty frames and all sorts of stuff. It doesn't hurt the metal at all. You may want to look into that. It could save you a ton of time and labor. Love the vids.

Hey I hate to tell you this but that's a buddyclub style front bumper not a mugen style bumper. Also while the crx sir has the bonnet bump it wouldn't fit on your car anyway because the crx sir has bigger headlights and also requires an sir style front bumper and iirc it has a different radiator support. As for.how to pronounce mugen, that word means Endless in japanese. So just type endless into a translator and maybe you will get that word. That's why on mugen products will often say "mugen power" aka endless power. Which is a bit ironic I feel because Honda's are often not the most powerful cars in the world without a lot of work done to them.
