My question is the plate thin enough to take a slide and bend without breaking the motor mount or the bolts?

If you did go down and the weight of the bike goes on to that motor mount, wouldnt you damage or bend it? Also will the metal plate connecting the frame slider to the bike hold up to crashing forces?

You never mentioned that the "plate" had a "captured nut" on the back side where the slider bolt goes. Kept wondering when you would put the bolt in the plate.

After installing mine, I realize the design is made to fail at some point in a crash, but that's what you want to happen. The name is frame slider, fairing slider. The design is well thought out, and after using a single point design from a competitor, I'm glad I changed them out. The puck is designed to wear away on a road crash and they sell replacement pucks.

As I mentioned, the Vagabond sliders are the best and give you the most knee room. I didn't discuss some of the items too much, but the extended shifter is a must. Upgrades in tires are not required, but recommended. The tail tidy to remove the extended rear lights makes the bike looks so much better, yet they operate with the same lights already on you motorcycle. I couldn't use the large brake/clutch levers so I bought aftermarket one so reduce the distance to the bars. A better winshield will help to redirect the wind, and there are many brands not available. The rear hugger fender keeps mud from being thrown under the seat.

+D. Paul Riderman Oh thanks alot! But what about the r&g frame sliders that are built in a 2 peice design too but these ones have a rubber material that stops the bike from sliding way to far. And trust me the fender eliminator, itergrated tail lights by motodynamic and the flush turn signals are the first things on my list if I get this bike!

sir i already have your frame slider and i have a tekton torque wrench 1/4.. theres is no no ft-lb setting,only inch pound.how can i convert 40ft-lb to inch pounds? thank you.

40 foot pounds is equivalent to 480 inch pounds

Will the case (side covers or stator covers) on the left and right side (where you put oil in) scrape with the sliders on?
