For those making a big controversy out of Isaiah being "snubbed" from the Dream Team. You need to step up and say who should have been off the team to make room for Isaiah. I am old enough to remember 92' well. While it was notable at the time that Isaiah didn't make the team, I don't recall anyone making a big deal out of it at the time. Some great player has to be the odd man out and it just happened to be Isaiah. Magic and Bird were past their prime but nobody could seriously have kept them off. I don't know why there had to one college player on the roster, but there was so you had to have Laettner. Everyone else was in right in their prime. Stockton is the obvious one for Isaiah to have replaced on the roster. But Stockton was a truly great player at the time and very complimentary to the rest of the team. It was certainly no controversy to have Stockton on the team.

A big deal was made in barbershops and in living rooms, but not in the media. I hated Isiah growing up, so it didn't bother me that he wasn't on the team. I laughed about it, because I hated him that much (still do, after what he did to the Knicks). But my older cousins and guys who were born in the late 60s (versus my '79) seemed to be the ones who were upset about it.

@akademiksКүн бұрын
Pat needs to stop doubling down on his uninformed opinions. Isaiah had problems with MJ, Magic, and Bird. He was not well liked at all, and other players just didn’t want him around. It’s not some kind of MJ or David Stern conspiracy. He was literally running his mouth and telling people that Magic was gay. Him and his teammates would take cheap shots at MJ and Bird. It’s not rocket science why he was left off the dream team.

Research? What's that? Reading a few paragraphs on Wiki is not enough to go toe to toe with a legend? Remember, Isiah was a 30-8-8 guy!? "Rob, put up Isiah's numbers let me show Scottie that he was sleep walking through the NBA during his championship years."Jordan accomplished that feat, ONCE! Best player in the history of the NBA. PBD just put Isiah, in MJ's shoes.

He interviews him, but cuts him off every single time, three sentences into every answer. Does the dude on TMZ get to interview the Pope? PBD, has to learn some NBA history more, before he can even ask questions of people who have basketball blood in their veins. Simply said, if you were a casual NBA fan, back in the day, a simple Wiki lookup is not going to paint the entire picture of what each player was. PBD, thought that Isiah averaged 28-30 ppg, smh, absolutely clueless. "Rob, can you put up Isiah Thomas stats." Delusional novice. Isiah was way past his prime and didn't mean to the NBA game what Bird & Magic did for the NBA. Isiah wasn't even the leading scorer on the Pistons for most the years he was on the Pistons. Tripuka, Dantly, Dumars.

I’ve been saying this since day one. Dominique Wilkins was the true snub, not Isaiah Isaiah Thomas.. People forget how amazing that man was, and Isaiah was on the down slide by 92. 91 is right when I really started watching basketball so I could remember this like it was yesterday. I was just a young boy from Chicago who loved the Bulls and my first memory was us beating the Lakers and not understanding why everyone was so excited over winning one little game. I didn’t know that that was the NBA finals.

They knew Smith's knees were already shot before they traded for him and still pulled the trigger.
