For anyone wondering about the chicken, this game is inspired by Castlevania and one of the running gags of that franchise is roast chicken in weird places, usually inside walls. Incidentally the bible and axe are operating pretty much identically to how they operate in Castlevania, the axe has a big arc when thrown and the bible circles around you to deal damage to anything near you. Holy water's not far off either and the whip is the traditional weapon in Castlevania.

I started playing this game a while ago, and honestly, it's fun! It envolves no money, and it's satisfying to play through when luck's on your side! The "endings" I found were also rather cathartic, like finding the Yellow Sign, killing the Red Reaper, and defeating the Ender. Also, this game has an area called The Bone Zone, and I just can't get over that, this is perfection.

I did buy this game in early access, and i loved the heck out of it (still do) it made me go "one more round" .... i remember the time you needed to know what to match with the counter part for the EVO and now its really starter friendly ♥ Not to forget about the "Your vampire is in another castle" Mario moment :D But what i think is the best, is that the dev. really talked and listen to the ppl that did buy the game and gave so much work into his game to make it even better, each update was only Positiv and the Price to buy this game is so cheap i felt really bad to only buy it once. Anyway, i love this game (and the video :D )

Vampire Survivors is like an enterence level drug. At first I've though it's pretty fun, little game to kill some time, but now I have 200h on clock and thanks to low price of games inspired by it and recent steam sale, games like those are the only thing I play. Trust me kids, drugs are not fun, stay away from those or your brain will stop processing dopamine without funny noises and flashing lights.

absolutely optimizing the shit out of this game is my favorite thing. things like the guns and alt-whip can combine multiple weapons into one more powerful evolution, which means if you play it right you can combine them then get a whole new weapon after evolving and optimize harder. Then, if you're on a map with lots of powerups and weapons on the map, you can get fill up all your slots, and then get extra with the map ones. especially the rings and arrows powerups that only appear on the map and combine to the most powerful evolutions in the game. rookie move to take them before you fill your power up slots. I've had games where I've had 9 weapons and 12 powerups. shit goes hard.

Using predatory psychological tactics and then not taking advantage of anyone is the perfect combination. It's really fun, you eventually get bored, realize that you've been playing a game where you walk in circles for 30 minutes, put the game down and live your life, pick it up again and the cycle repeats... except you can still pay your rent for the month. For those who want something similar but with more engagement and a bit less dopamine-baiting, 20 Minutes Until Dawn has a very similar gameplay loop... but it's a twin-stick shooter, so you have to actually aim your main attack to really get anywhere You do get some automated minion options scattered about the levelup upgrades, but they generally can't carry your lazy ass as far as your trusty firearm can There's a bunch of weapons and characters to mix and match too, it's great
