Someone will blame the cyclists for not giving way to the van as in their mind you must give way to vehicles indicating.

Maybe the driver should make a list of all the things they could have done with the 2 seconds they lost by them being in the wrong lane and wanting to move over in one already occupied.🤔

People need to remember that there are good people drivers and bad people drivers. Some will follow the rules when it comes to cyclist and others don't care but you also have to remember there also bad cyclist as well.

What's the best way to behave/react with positivity to make friends and understanding with all road users?. Perhaps if cyclist goes to van driver's door window and holds up a bag of sweeties/candies and says "have some sweets/candies and let's talk about it."?

@scottlaaa funny isn't it, now imagine the roles are reversed and it's the cyclist changing lanes. I would get called a Troll. More interesting is the a.mount of likes RB gets saying that people will blame the cyclist, yet nobody has done so. I think that it's probably better to get no likes. 🤣🤣🤣

@@TheMirrorGuy it’s funny that as soon as you saw my comments, you dont blame cyclists. The internet is inundated with your comments blaming cyclists for being cut up by indicating vehicles. Remember when you were trolling on my videos blaming me for not letting an indicating car to turn left???? What changed? You finally realised that u are the one trolling?😂😂😂😂 I can pretty much guarantee that in the back of your head you would be blaming the cyclists for not letting the van change lane and calling them stupid or something, but you are probably just too scared to type it out after seeing my comment. Always fun to see trolls contradicting themselves and get caught out like yourself. Because in clear cut cases like this one, you cant troll like before, so you have to comment something that will contradict your previous trolling views. Then now people will realise how much of a troll you are by being so hypocritical. It’s probably better for you to not comment on here, afterall, if you comment in favour of the person getting cut up, you are doomed, if you comment in favour of the person cutting others up, you are also doomed.

@@scottlaaa shall we discuss ben’s video here? Ben getting cut off by the lorry changing lanes?? With the mirror guy’s newly realisation of his previous trolling efforts, he is now saying that indicating doesnt give you the right to change lanes. So ben hasnt done anything wrong by not letting the lorry change lanes as per what these cyclists did in this video.

@@TheMirrorGuy it’s funny isnt it. Why the change in view? Internet is inundated of comments made by you blaming the person getting cut up by indicating vehicles. Remember the times when you were trolling on my videos and blaming me for getting cut up by indicating vehicles? Why the change of your comment? Finally realised that you have been a troll? Honestly, it’s better for you to not comment than comment. If you comment in favour of the cyclists here, you are doomed for being a hypocrite. If you comment against the cyclists here, then you are doomed anyways. I bet that in the back of your mind, you would be blaming the cyclists for undertaking an indicating van and not letting them in. But of course, you saw my comment and probably thought it would be stupid to comment against the cyclists. So you try to put down a comment as generic as possible trying not to appoint blame. It’s funny that this comment, is exactly what i have been putting down. Pretty much word by word. But of course, you were disagreeing with me. Everyone sees who you are.

Vans have big blindspots and when you undertake one it can cause issues. So being aware of that might stop an accident on day. My brother got hit on a moped by one and crushed his foot. It not imo who's right or wrong but keeping yourself safe..

No they have a wide angle mirror beneath the normal mirror. So the van driver can clear see those cyclists.

@@roadbiker8333 How many directions can a human look in at any one given time. That's the issue. Fact is we can only rely on ourselves to Keep ourselves safe and a lot of the time that applies regardless of what method you're using on the roads or even just crossing a road. Your comment and then potential actions, well they have a mirror, so must see me. Will put you in danger and is flawed. Not putting yourself in a certain scenario or position is safer.. After all he has to stop at the red light and we all need to learn to share the road and Keep ourselves safe and out of danger. Just because you can doesn't always mean you should. Should doesn't mean must. We all are only human and it's not about right or wrong or why but what could happen as a result and mitigating that risk is key.. hence my original comment applies..

@@roxdude i have no issue while driving this kind of van. So it’s not an issue. And generally those mirrors are located on the side that you want to go, so it’s also not difficult or out of way to look at them. Share the road is knowing that your action and manouvre cannot cause danger to others. The cyclists were not the one changing lanes nor performing any manoeuvre. So it’s not them who needs to change their riding. It’s however a must for the van driver to not cut others up. It’s not a should. Your comment only applies to blaming the victims.

@@roadbiker8333 I think your missing the point totally.. Not everyone is of the same standard. Not everything is black and white. It's grey.. one must make assumptions and if I was even driving a car in that scenario. I'd be wary of that road layout and that van and that a vehicle may want to move into the N/S lane and thus I would not undertake a moving vehicle in that situation until I was sure. Same when a cars indicating to turn,you make sure they are before you pullout. Never mind when riding a bicycle, where one's even more at risk.. How long would it actually delay someone or did it delay them. It's about keeping themselves safe end of. It's about the mindset regardless of your mode, but no it seems many want to blame others and expect them to not make mistakes. Or to cut in.. rightly or wrongly or for whatever reason it can happen and putting yourself in a position where you're not at risk is also our own responsibility. Leaving that to others is very risky. Surely you see that.. Like driving staggered is safer than alongside. Is it really worth the risk to get just ahead.. or arriving at the same point as another at the same time. That applies to everyone, sharing the roads. If many thought that way, many accidents wouldn't happen.. As many think as I have the right of way, so I'm in the right and add to the issue when they could help solve the problem and help flow and at the sametime keeping ourselves safer.
