I never would have considered myself as up for doing a diy build, but your clear presentations and resources make me feel a little more confident that I might be able to, with a lot of careful planning and patience. At this point I’d still rather turn things over to professionals, but it might be a good journey for me-we’ll see, whenever the time comes! I really appreciate how you support diy-ers.

This is fantastic! A DIY ready kit! I wish for slim boxes though. Narrow water tank/batteries maybe?

Your site is amazing. Came over from Bill and Elizabeths site. We have a Class A which is older and so I wanted to catch your site and get ideas and how to DIY some of these things. Thinking our RV could make good use of your items and it might be easier to order ready made from you than try to attempt it at our age. Awesome site and much good fortune to you and yours for offering this and doing these many video's. What an undertaking and you have done a fabulous job. I love how neat and tidy everything is and so accessible. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Bravo!!! Blessings

Love your channel - so much information for the diy builder. You're the most complete provider of build content that I have seen. Truely appreciate the pass-down of knowledge. Since you do both, would you have a video of the Aqua Hot heating system as an alternative to the Isotemp? Did you say you're offering complete electrical/water wheel boxes? Where can those be found on your website. Cheers, Al

Thank you! We love the Aquahot, but it is much more complex and expensive. We can only do the Aquahot in our shop, and it takes about a week. We cannot do it as a drop-in system. There is a video on our channel comparing the Aquahot and Isotemp. Here is a link to the drop-on electrical and plumbing systems: www.thrivecraftedvans.com/drop-in-electrical-system

Is it possible to build my plumbing and battery banks in a 10"w x 29"h x 72"l box? That's the space I have on either side of my garage. I've laid out my components for a Victron 800ah battery bank on two levels going over wheel well and 20g water tank with Isotemp 601623 Slim Square water heater and extra 20g tank and grey water tank underneath. But with wires, fittings, and hoses, is that going to work? I've so enjoyed your journey from just starting out to true professionals. You've been incredibly helpful in a very understandable way. Thank you for all you're doing for us first-time DIYers!

Are you making a direct connection between brass fittings and the plastic tank or do you use some adapter? Thanks for all the effort you put into these videos. I've used quite a few tips from you over the past 18 months!
@thrivans
@thrivans 4 ай бұрын
We try to use mostly nylon fittings. If you must use brass, be careful not to cross thread and damage the threads on the tank.

The isotemp can be connected to your car coolant system, just wondering does that mean you could use it for underfloor heating aswell like other systems that use the glycol?

On your supply line from tank you mention a brass fitting out of tank. Do you still use the brass fitting if so which one, or have you changed to a different material?

Do you have any drop in systems with ecoflow? I thought you mainly use that instead of victron. Thanks!

No. Sorry. We don’t do Ecoflow at this time.

I noticed you have a pump switch on your google doc list. Where do you install that? BTW, your videos are very helpful. Thanks

We usually install the pump switch and grey tank dump switch on the wall above the sink.

@@thrivans Great video! Curious if you've considered using the equivalent 24v Shurflo pump when doing the 24v system? Any thoughts on that vs the 12v pump when using a 24v system would be appreciated.

I have a 170 extended a 23 what would be the cost of the water cabinet drop in ? And also if I bought the electric drop in also minus the electrical package just the frame ? What would be the cost and measurements on floor between both cabinets? I need 42 to 45 inches! Just started following you from live simple and free build.

If your tank has fittings that are not punched open, do you think the top feed is better?
@thrivans
@thrivans 5 ай бұрын
I like the top fittings, but I think you can have very secure fittings in the bottom, with a high quality tank and parts.

Any thoughts about having a custom shallow stainless steel pan with a drain under your water tank and connectors, or is that overkill? It's something I've considered. (Same with under my sink.)

What Orion's are you using to get 60 amps? I thought the largest 12/24 was 15 amp output, so a pair would only be 30 amps at 24v? I supposed it would be close to 60a @12v, maybe that's what you meant?
@thrivans
@thrivans 5 ай бұрын
Sorry. I should have made it more clear. Two Orions, each pulling 30 amps at 12 volts from the alternator, then converting it to 15 amps each at 24 volts.

Have you had any issues with the weight of the vans, considering the 36 gallon water tank would weigh in at 350lbs +/= when full? Great channel and great content! I purchased a sliding door cubby from here back in December and couldn't be happier with it😊
@thrivans
@thrivans 5 ай бұрын
Our builds typically come in around 2,200-2,500 with full tanks. This is still well under the rated capacity. Glad you're enjoying the cubbies!
