This is how I remember them.... Loud, proud, and 'tude for decades. These boys were the big bad wolves of rock... No quarter asked for, nor given. Dave was the complete shit... all over the stage, live and in your face. Ed ain't sober in this video...and you can tell. He's having fun though, by the look on his face. Look at the way Dave moves on stage. You know the dude had to stretch out for an hour or so, before walking on stage, to be able to be that fluid. In those days, when you purchased a Van Halen ticket... you saw a SHOW. You could not leave that auditorium or amphitheater and say with any truth at all, that you had not been entertained. Four men...one loud sound, one larger than life entertainment experience. They were the mighty Van Halen.... and they were un-fucking-forgettable. RIP Ed... your guitar was the soundtrack of millions of lives... and they all miss you.

I forget exactly how it worked but at age 10/11 I joined the Columbia House record and cassette tape club in 1979. To start you got like 11 records or tapes (your choice) for a penny, and the deal was you had to buy 6-8 or so at full price. Each month they would mail you a bill for the album of the month and you could check no and mail back the bill if you didn't want that album, but if you didn't they would send the album and tape and you had to pay. Long story short I remember when Women And Children was that album of the month in 1980 and deciding if I wanted it, and decided YES.

Dave was the ultimate front man. It's sad to see him now as the over smiling clown he's become. I say that as someone who saw him live on his first solo tour and it's still among my top 3 concerts of all time.

No tribute concert for Eddie. That pretty much says it all regarding David. Sad.

Wow! Woke this morning to find this video! Gives me hope there is so much more out there. 41 years since WACF. Where has this been hiding for 41 years? A full length WACF and Fair Warning concert and I can die happy! Please, anyone?
