I finally talked to her 16 years later when I was with a buddy of mine who knew her and introduced me to her. We married 6 months later had twins and I lost her at 37 to a brain tumor. I'm 67 now ,30 years have passed and I miss her every day. This was one of our songs. I played Into the mystic at her funeral. This song puts her right beside me. Great memories.

I was 17 when I met him....got engaged much to my family's consternation. Married him at 18, they didn't attend and said that it wouldn't last! 47 years together with 2 brilliant children, and he died. Part of me went with him. On my own now for 6 years, and just beginning to get used to it. This song was one we both enjoyed listening to, found it on a cd, and I listen to it from time to time. I found him march of this year ... I live in Spain and had recently divorced... He was over in Spain visiting his family holiday home to deal with personal issues of his own...... He simply walked into a bar I was about to leave .... we heard this song for the first time on one of our first nights together..... instantly it was us... Our song.. The love of my life and I listened and sang together in the car as we drove around in the car. We were friends for nine years before we began dating as as a couple late in life me 48, he 50. I was never going to marry again. I’d been hurt beyond measure; wasn’t going to let that happen again.
