I am just a generally curious, attentive and empathetic person, so many of these "cues" I just do naturally with everyone. It's just how I demonstrate care and respect, but I am obviously not attracted/romantically interested in every person I meet.

I agree. I am similar. However, this is the reason why it's so hard to decipher, unfortunately. I meet people like this all the time, but the places I meet them are not the kind of places where you express interest as you might get yourself into trouble. i.e work etc.

@@49Macman Do you mean, like, you know you have innocent intentions, but it's hard to decipher the intentions of others who may do these things in inappropriate spaces, or rather, you meet people who you can sort of gather that they do these with underlying motive in inappropriate spaces?

@@sabrinarox100 Thanks so much for taking an interest in what I mentioned. Well, I work in a small school. It appears I am respected and liked, but I don't feel good looking.. However, their are things that happen that can mean just casual conversation, but if one might read into it may mean a beginning to something more. Like opening up a door for someone and they tell me their age and they shouldn't be starting the grey hairs. LOL. I also need to assume they are happily married. Plus, I dont want to get a reputation if I ask more or go into an all out flirt. LOL. This particular woman I had chatted with for a length of time once. I had another situation where this married woman was subtly obvious, she was flirtatious in front of her husband when I first met her at an orientation, but her husband wasn't around after that (still married) and didn't need to be. but when she moved on from the school she told the others that "she tried with me." Their were some other obvious signs that I ignored. Once I was behind her in the office and gave her a quick neck massage then at another time she went up and down my tie with her hands. Sometimes people are big flirts and don't mean anything by it, but sometimes they are trying to see if you're interested. Not that I want to be with a married woman, but if they are available, perhaps? Thanks. I guess as a man I wanted to believe they were both into me (LOL), but in reality they weren't and sadly I'll never know. Thanks.

@@sabrinarox100 Hi Sabrina,Yes, my life is built around teaching at a small school. I have a great rapport with the adults around me and my students respond well to my teaching. However, it makes it difficult to know what an adult females intentions are as they may just be friendly or it's in their nature to be flirtatious. Sometimes I feel they might want to know more by some of the cues they might give, but probably not. Some of these women I may see opening up a door for them and others I've had many conversations with. Recently I had seen a mom that I had some light conversation with prior tell me and show me her one grey hair. She said she was to young to be going grey. LOL. I was thinking, "out of the blue she says that?" LOL. I'm sure their are many reasons other than she feels comfortable with me and wants to start a conversation with me to get to know me better, but who knows? LOL. Their was another situation where a mom came back for a fundraiser and we hugged like long lost friends yet we didn't really know each other well. She had asked if I had a card to get in touch with me to help her son with something and for some reason I didn't exchange information. Their were lots of kids around to or I believe it might have gotten flirtatious. One last example is when they had orientation a mom took notice in me. Her husband rolled his eyes, so I thought maybe to make him jealous. She was at the school alot after that but not the husband. She was very complimentive, flirtatious and when she left she told the other mothers she had tried with me, but I didn't notice. This one was hard to decipher if she was in a bad marriage or just wanted to know for her own ego that she was attractive. Once. I gave her a short, friendly neck massage and then she later walked her fingers down the front of my shirt. Another thing she did was when we were in a restaurant one time with the school she tasted my food like we were a couple. I'm really glad that their were cameras everywhere for the safety of the children, because something might have escalated and I would be in lots of hot water if it did. For three reasons: It would probably devastate the child which I would never want to do, I would get a reputation as a player and would most likely get fired although I am not a full time teacher. I also don't want to be a home wrecker either. What I do is reflect fondly on the attention I would get even though it may not be for the reasons I would like it to be, but it kind of makes me feel good and think a little though. Thanks for listening.

They looked forward to that attraction with joy, but without haste, not pining for it, but seeming to have a foretaste of it in their hearts, of which they talked to one another. But when they looked at me with their sweet eyes full of love, when I felt that in their presence my heart, too, became as innocent and just as theirs, the feeling of the fullness of life took my breath away, and I worshipped them in silence. Their children were the children of all, for they all made up one family.

Interesting video. Then what are the difference non verbal between best friend and lover? Or any non verbal that only happen on couple?
@ScienceOfPeople
@ScienceOfPeople 16 күн бұрын
Great question! Non-verbal cues can indeed vary significantly between best friends and lovers. For lovers, you often see a lot of what we call 'intimate zone' interactions, such as prolonged eye contact, gentle touches, and even synchronizing body movements which signify deep connection and affection. Best friends, while close, typically maintain more casual touches and might not engage in prolonged eye contact to the same extent. It was discussed more in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oafCoK14aKikpac 💖🙌🏼

Absolutely! 🙏🏻 The "ask and tell" approach is a fantastic strategy. It's all about striking a balance-asking engaging questions to show genuine interest and sharing about yourself to build a deeper connection. By doing this, you're not just participating in a conversation; you're enriching it, making it memorable and meaningful for everyone involved 🙌🏼

That’s a really good sign actually. Usually when someone who’s otherwise pretty normal is acting weird around you, they tend to like you a LOT. I always joke that if I seem really flirty and confident when I’m talking to you, that means I’m NOT flirting w you- Bit when I’m acting weird and quiet around you is when I’m actually “flirting” and means I hella like the guy 🤣

Mixed cues can indeed be confusing! 🙌🏼 It's important to consider the context and perhaps the frequency of these behaviors. Sometimes, people need more time to get comfortable in a conversation, especially if it's a deeper or more personal topic. Patience can be key in these situations. ✨

Prolly coz your friendly. Maybe you're putting yourself in the friend zone? A gentleman. Nothing wrong with that but what it does is it takes away any idea of possible romance. Add a bit of spice. Breach the gentleman boarder and say something a little risky without putting any emphasis behind it. As if it was nothing. Just a bit of harmless male tongue n cheek.
@matthalo89
@matthalo89 25 күн бұрын
@@MrTrollbabygive an example of this tongue and cheek. I have one. Last December I got my crush a chocolate orange because they were in season and she likes them. Then a few days later she gave me a bag of Hershy’s Kisses. I thought it was strange because there’s hundreds of options out there and she chose kisses. To be honest, I didn’t expect anything from her. But I had a bag of kisses from a pretty cool person. Next day we’re standing alone and she walks over to where these snacks are. I had a few kisses in my pocket. She asked me if I wanted anything and I said “No, I’m enjoying one of your kisses.” She looked up at me and said “Do you know what that sounds like when you say it like that?” Annoyed with her response, I said “Yeah, that’s why I said it.” And I turned around and started walking away. Then she followed me acting like she was bothered but she wasn’t. She liked it. She imagined it. If she was bothered she would’ve said so. If she didn’t want to then she wouldn’t have followed me after the comment. Point is I said something that was risky. She’s not a big dater and she’s hard to get to know because she doesn’t trust so easy. She’s very guarded and so am I but not as much as her. She has stated that she has to be friends before dating someone so it doesn’t matter if I’m in the friend zone now. Doesn’t mean I’ll always be there. But I’m not going to wait around for her either.

So based on what you are saying, when I go out with someone romantically, I should sit across from them not next to them.
@ScienceOfPeople
@ScienceOfPeople 20 күн бұрын
Actually, the choice between sitting next to someone or across from them on a date really depends on the kind of intimacy you're aiming to create. If you're looking for a more gradual, comfortable interaction where you can easily maintain eye contact and converse, sitting across might be ideal. However, if you feel the connection is strong and you want to build intimacy quickly, sitting next to each other can be very effective. This setup allows for more casual touches and a closer presence, which can significantly deepen the connection. I hope I was able to answer this 🙏🏻🙌🏼

Can you be more specific on what men do. You have two videos on this and you only talk about what women do, not the men.
@beuvelain
@beuvelain Ай бұрын
I know I'm not Vanessa, but from what I've read, men also do these things. They preen a lot when they're attracted: fix their hair, stroke their beard area (even if they're shaved), fix their clothes. Another thing I've read is that men show their teeth as they're smiling when they're attracted to someone. They usually smile with their mouth closed when they're just being friendly. But I guess there are people who always give toothy smiles and others who never show their teeth due to culture or embarrassment. But if a man, who usually never shows his teeth when smiling at other people, does it when he's talking to you, then it could be a sign of attraction. Also, I think the asking questions part is even more true about men than women. Women are taught to be charming and attentive to other people, so it doesn't necessarily mean anything. Men doesn't do polite as much. So when a man who usually mostly minds his own business is asking a lot of questions of someone (in a non-agressive, non-threatening way) then he's really keen on getting to know that person. Men unfortunately rarely do that just to be nice (although there are of course exceptions).
