It’s disappointing that Vanguard has yet to internalize that their customer service problems are the biggest issue confronting their retail clients. Why else would long term clients be moving their assets to other brokerage firms? Maybe Vanguard regards such clients as malcontents who can be safely ignored as they acquire new younger investors. But those younger investors will also get upset when they attempt to handle more complex situations later in their investing life and find Vanguard customer service wanting.

The Vanguard platform is very anti trader and requires too many steps to make a trade or check status. Salim should improve this pronto and stop making excuses.

It is unbelievable to hear him say “we are not a platform for active traders by design” .. Generations now and to come, just like generations past ALSO are for the long term but are more proactive simply because they are more savvy with their money. EVERY Financial services firm must preserve that culture and attract more of that, not chase them away. Such a horribly outdated mentality.. it is not Salim but he just inherited it

Vanguard is a 2nd rate brokerage house....do not put ur money or open a trading account with them....if u had puts u lost gains..their system did not allow access to trade.....his commentary is b.s..

You may be able to steel from us millennials in their 30s but keep in mind the genZs don't even have any job to run for long-term.
