Vargouilles-deceptively dangerous demons. THEY'LL KISS YOU TO DEATH! (D&D Compendium of monsters)

Vargouilles are dangerous demons that are absolutely a threat to low level parties. Without access to a remove curse spell or similar magic, anyone kissed by a vargouille is absolutely screwed! It’s funny in a perverted sense because the daylight spell actually does something useful in helping prevent the curse’s spread, but for a 3rd level spell slot that only buys an hour of time, it’s much more efficient to use remove curse.
If you’re a DM looking to use this against a low level party, plan on at least one player character death. It’s not guaranteed to happen, but vargouilles aren’t the monsters you throw at your party when everything is sunshine and roses.
