You forgot to include that these can be indicators of too-low sodium. People are generally still stuck on the old idea that salt is unhealthy. In fact, we need much more salt than most people still believe. Once I started consuming more salt on a regular basis, by instruction of my doctor, all my vein problems disappeared entirely. Entirely. Adding more magnesium and potassium to my diet also eliminated swelling. The heart is a muscle and muscles require sodium to function properly. Don't believe the hype about salt being bad for the heart. That is yesterday's news, now debunked.

Magnesium and potassium are like the magic team and for sodium I like to have at home a pack of salted roasted almonds, I take 5 or 6 and that is enough for me so far!

Thank you for making this video. My mom has a lot of these veins, mainly spider veins behind her knees. She had three of us, with the youngest one being when she was 38 and that is where I found them getting worse. She has a lot of pain during hot weather too, so going out would mean for her wearing the long linen or cotton trousers... as when exposed to the sun, they seem to get worse! I always learn something interesting and love the way you explain things in an easy to understand way, which means we can share your videos with others that would have found it difficult to understand otherwise. @@debstayblessed9549 I am sure nobody consumes buckets of salt... but many eat smoked food, excessively spicy food, braisee food, processed meats, extremely hot temperature food eating and the list goes on.... THAT is a wide range that are highly linked to the illness you mentioned.

I have few spider veins in both ankles and behind right knee. I got a scan for my venous and arterial system but test results were all ok it says no varicosities noted, no deep vein thrombus formation, (vein and arteries name) are competent. .. but then i wonder why i do have spider veins can someone explain
