Hey Boz and Pat! Huge fan of the podcast. It’s the only CrossFit podcast that captures my full attention. Before I get to my question, I wanted to thank the mom who posted about not getting enough sleep due to kids and work schedule. Pat saying he has been “tired” for 3 years helped me feel better. Haha! Anyway, here is my question. One of my favorite episodes is the one where you speak with Dave Durante. Gymnastics is one of my main weaknesses. I was working with a CF coach (3 times a month). We were just starting to get into gymnastics work and my family and I had to move. Therefore, I could no longer work with this coach due to the distance. I joined another CrossFit gym and I made enough at my new job to sign up for a limited gym membership (12 classes a month). However, not too long after I signed up, the owners decided recently to cut out skill work on gymnastic movements, because the class attendance for those WODs was low. I was completely heartbroken when this announcement was made. I didn’t sign up for the “Barbell Club”. I signed up for “CrossFit”. So when WODs have the gymnastic movements in them, I have to scale way down (i.e. ring rows instead of pull ups). I’m okay with scaling, but I’d like to eventually do more advanced gymnastics work. My coaches have set up a band across the rig, so I could work on pull up work. However, I thought about what Pat said in an earlier episode that I may have to thank the “band” for that pull up. I think I understand what he meant, because I felt that the band was helping me too much to spring upwards. We do have Open Gym. However, there isn’t a coach on site. Open Gym is basically whenever there is not a scheduled class. What can I do on my own to become better at gymnastics? Is there some free resources out there that I can use to help myself? Money is tight, so I can’t really afford to sign up for anything additional. Hopefully, this isn’t too impossible of a task.

Recognizing you have a limited budget, are you able to pay for an annual membership with Performance Plus Program (PPP) by Dr. Zach Long and Games Athlete Pamela Gagnon? Last time I checked, it was

Hey guys, Firstly may I say that I adore this podcast, you both make me laugh so much and seem like such amazing people! I love your outlook on life in general and how you express it through Crossfit and these podcasts. I often listen on my way to the gym (it's an early morning walk for the 6.45am class) and your talks motivate me loads, so thank you

@Boz... great job... and helps answer the question... "How are you using your fitness?"; I spent my Sunday morning throwing Hay bales... as my wife has commented... 'Tim's Unbreakable'... which I attribute to being introduced to CrossFit... Thank You Buddy!!!

I've accepted being the "crazy" mom. Kids practices are the perfect time for a run or body weight/dumbbell workout. A playground really opens up options!

Go knock out an appropriately scaled version of "Randy". You'll get all the fitness you need in around 5 minutes.
