Great video Bob and looking forward to the full review. I was intently listening to the road surface while you were driving. Obviously you will hear it first hand but I was interested when Jenny said that you heard the grid but didn’t feel it. Sounds like a very good investment if you’re keeping the motorhome for a considerable period to get the most out of enjoying our UK roads.

Great Vvlogs guys, this is my hubby's home town been here a few times, boat lift is amazing, so what you had done to your van I saw a few while ago that the roaming radfords had the same thing done as well, its amazing well done .Cheshire a beautiful park of the uk.

The cottage was very quaint. I loved the village. There are some real gems in this country if you know where to look. Wish I could put that air suspension on my caravan. Great video. Thank you both.

Thank you for another brilliant video, your decision to invest in an uprated suspension system is superb! Many more years years to come of more comfort and safety, traveling round our great country scenes and history. 😊

Excellent video, the cottage and Great Budworth looked fantastic, great job on the air suspension, a swift half, not like you 🙂 We love walking around around old towns and villages and looking at the gorgeous buildings, we a;ways tend to say "we could live here " 🙂 Take care of you and all the best, Trev Debz and Tyler

Great idea to rent a cottage. Takes all the worry out of things. It was good of the company to let you see the suspension upgrade process. Punctures always come at the wrong time 🤔 You did well to get it fixed on the same day. Lovely village and a nice lunch. The air suspension will certainly help in the longer journeys 😃🚐💙 Trev n Sue

Great video showing the area. 39:36 never heard that noise on ours but it is a smaller vehicle?? Also we were advised against the integral compressors as out of all the components of air suspension system it is the most likely to fail. So 42:31 is good to see.
@BobEarnshawMoHoКүн бұрын
Yes you can hear the compressor working. It is a 4.5 tonne vehicle after all and an active system that responds to road conditions.

Hi Bob. Good video. Can I ask where you fitted the VB controls. It looked from the video like the cable was fitted behind the drivers seat, so not sure how easy it will be to access the handset? Do you have to stop, turn around and pick it up from behind the B pillar? Or have you had the handset fitted to the dashboard so that both of you can access/control it? I’m looking forward to your full review. When will you upload that video?
@BobEarnshawMoHo2 күн бұрын
The control handset is on a coiled cable at the right hand side of the drivers chair. I've attached the clip for it to the side trim. I can reach it easily. As for the review, I haven't filmed that yet. I've been a bit busy recently!

Similar system to the AL-Co one that came on our older Hymer. Normally the handbrake should be let off during the adjustment. The creaking noise sounded to me like it was pulled up and engaged Bob.
@BobEarnshawMoHo2 күн бұрын
Yes the handbrake was on, and yes, ideally, the handbrake should be off. We didn't want the van rolling away whilst demonstrating it!
@peromalmstrom7668Күн бұрын
Informative as always, thank you. When choosing to get an air suspension system, is there a reason you also at the same time did not get the self levelling arms for when at a Camp site? I’m considering a similar system for our CamperVan that does both, though deciding on the system and manufacturer is the difficult piece! Look forward to your full review.
@BobEarnshawMoHoКүн бұрын
VB Air has an auto-levelling function, which can level the van on most pitches, if the slope is not too severe. Also it added a few £££s to the cost, so I will see how I get on.

Great video Bob , I have been looking forward to watching this . Ours is booked in at A&E for the same on 9th December . Having to wait as I am going away and also now gearbox fixed , Salop have some other jobs to sort . Couple of things , did you measure the distance between road and freshwater valve before and after to see the distance gain ? Also, you mention Swift authorising a cage to be fitted to the tank to pull it up a bit . Should I be asking Swift /Dealer for same ? When I complained direct to Swift about mine being low and damaged they made no mention of this retrofit?
@BobEarnshawMoHo2 күн бұрын
The problem on mine is not the fresh water valve. That had already been moved further into the chassis. My issue is the cap on the underneath of the fresh water tank and the bowed tank. I just had the Swift cage fitted this afternoon and it's lifted the fresh water cap I would guess about an inch. However, he tank is still bowed and I want to see what difference it makes.
@EddieHulme2 күн бұрын
@@BobEarnshawMoHo thanks . I will take a closer look at mine . The screw on cap tank scrapped the ground on mine when my valve was ripped of . Am hoping to lift an inch or more with the suspension . Am sure also with different brackets there is roof for that tank to be lifted . I will investigate .

Our MH had air suspension. It was a much smoother ride and the stability whilst cornering was a lot better. Once you have had it on a van it is a must have.

Hi Bob, we didn't realise we hadn't subscribed cause we watch so much of your channel that your vids just pop up anyway...I literally got off the phone last night having made 3 separate inquiries about upgrading our leaf springs on the rear ...they are just not very inspiring conversations and my local service chap said the only solution to the motorhome feeling like it's gonna fall apart on each pothole or Italian bridge expansion joint is full air suspension but that is soooo expensive. Seems like none of these modifications really hit the spot, for us the Sumo Springs that replace the bump stops were helpful and I guess worth the money but didn't hit the spot. Full air is a massive investment and you or any of us should not be feeling like it 'kind of helps'. If you do indeed put a follow up video together for us it will probably be the most important vid I watch this year. Thanks for the content as always and hope your upgrade does hit the spot for you.
