Will definitely get your book. In the future can you do recipes with no oils? Or show us how to replace oils since Dr. Esselstin says oils hurt our endothelial cells. Love you guys!! 🙏💜💕

Wow! I love beet balls! (I usually just grate raw ones, add some pulsed chickpeas and coarsely ground up/crushed nuts, then bake them). That tomato sauce w/ fennel sounds amazing as well! It looks delicious too! I'll be making this this week! Thank you, gents :)

These were delicious. I loved the fennel in the sauce. I added an extra tin of tomatos, some tomato paste and a glug of wine. Is there a way to make the beetballs more solid? Even after frying they were quite fragile.

I cooked it today, those balls are fabulous. I burnt one batch a bit, but I put it that side down and called it a caramelisatioan :D I did no time it, because I like to do a prep in advance, does not matter, it was still very quick.

Let me know. I have cooked as well. I think it might need more dry stuff? Do you make shiitake mushroom powder (just buy a pack of dried mushrooms at the Asian store and pulse them into a powder or maybe brown rice flour)? That might help with the wet. Let me know if it works.
@mikekuppen62567 жыл бұрын
Will be trying it for lunch, so no results yet. What I think might work is grate the beets and let them sit in a colander with a weight on them for a while to lose some of the liquid (and I like beet juice anyway) and only mix them in with the rest of the ingredients after those have been blended up.

I don’t like the 5 minute meal idea tbh. This is a great recipe, but I’d rather it be slowed down so I can actually follow along. It’s also unrealistic because there is two of you cooking. So making it a longer video and not restricting the time is not a bad thing.

To humans, goodness no. It is, however, slightly bitter and quite fibrous so best peel it if using it raw. To dogs and some species of cats, it isn't best for their diet -- similar to avocado -- so I wouldn't add if you're looking for a pet friendly version.

Typically the skin of organic vegetables are extremely beneficial healthwise.

These made me eat meat again. I'm sorry but it can't compare with meatballs. We have strict animal welfare guidelines here for our farmer and they are all grass fed and live happy lives.
@fairydust_and_glitter3 жыл бұрын
That is the difference between animal welfare, and animal rights. Vegans are for animal rights, total animal liberation. Animal "welfare" is speciesist logic, "how can I continue to exploit this creature, but in a 'kinder' way?". It means very little to the animals once they are in the slaughterhouse, but people will give themselves a pat on the back thinking they have done something good.
