You're Right Tim, but nori is dark green and crab meat isn't Dark Green. Unless there's a Nori powder that is creamy white in colour, then we're onto something.

Binging your videos right now while drinking beer and trying to unwind from a crazy week so excuse all my random comments lol. If you don't know yet (I didn't read the comments) if you rip the end or top of the celery vs cutting it off, it exposed the "spines" of the celery that you can just pull out. This eliminates the sticking in your teeth. My grandpa taught me that and my mind was blown!!

Thank you for sharing. Holy crap! I made this and it was so good. I just recently committed to being vegetarian (like less than a year ago) so I can still vividly recall what real crab rolls taste like and these are actually super close. I couldn't find smoked tofu so I pressed and baked some extra firm tofu and it shredded pretty decently. I'm definitely going to make this again.

Brilliant. One of the best videos like this I've ever seen. Well done and thanks for posting! P.S. I found this by searching for a video on making vegetarian lobster sauce (to use in stir-fry). Don't know if anybody's come up with that yet. How do we get that flavor?
@aintyourmama20956 жыл бұрын
Don't know if anyone has said this but, a tip for celery. If you don't like the strings just use a carrot peeler before you use the knife and peel the outside of the celery. No more strings but yes for celery. It has changed my celery life. :)

Crab rolls will often have celery in them but myself being from the coast of Maine a very good one doesn't have anything other than a little bit of mayonnaise salt and pepper. Other people will put onion and celery and pretty much the same with lobster rolls. No they are not on hoagie rolls lobster rolls and crab rolls are served in a top split hot dog bun.! You don't get them on anything else but that in Maine.
@Thevietvegan6 жыл бұрын
Aaah good to know! When I was doing research and I kept seeing celery so I tried it and liked it, but yeah, aside from the texture, the ingredients of lobster and crab rolls looked the same!

Hellman’s makes a vegan mayo? I’ll have to keep an eye out for that although Sir Kensington has a new one with avocado oil and aquafaba that I’m still trying to find. They have had one with avocado oil but with egg yolks, and one with sunflower oil and aquafaba.
@Thevietvegan6 жыл бұрын
Oh I had no idea Sir Kensington made non-vegan products, I've always seen their fabanaise in my friends' grocery hauls and assumed all their stuff was vegan. Yeah Hellman's came out with a vegan mayo after trying to sue Just Mayo lulz. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em, I guess.
