Your homemade version sounds awesome! My version of sloppy joe was just some lentils with barbecue sauce, jalapenos with some of the brine, and sweet bread pickles. LOL

This video is right on time. I was just looking up recipes the other day thinking about making sloppy joes! I also grew up with manwich and I haven't had a sloppy joe in ages. These recipes are awesome and I'm totally trying them out😋👌🍔

Thank you for demonstrating that sodium citrate works on vegan cheese. I gave away mine to my brother when I went vegan thinking it would only work on regular cheese. I got it right back from him after seeing your video. The only change I made to it was adding in nutritional yeast and mustard powder to make it cheesier tasting.

To save $$$, TVP (textured vegetable protein) is perfect for something like this, and is DIRT CHEAP!! Especially compared to processed vegan "beef" mince, and is just as convenient and fast! The directions usually say to pre-hydrate the TVP but I always skip that to save time with zero unwanted results. 👍

One of the reasons I love your channel is that you take as much time and effort in plating your dishes as you do in creating them. Just wanted you to know I appreciate your tireless pursuit of perfection. (And the recipes 😋😄)

Which meat did you use? I’m from the UK and I really want to make this, only comparable thing I’ve seen in the shops is the vegan mince which won’t work as well as it’s too soft, anyone know where to get it?

First of all: Beautiful recipe as always. Secondly an idea for you: There is this KZbin channel making deliciously looking but horribly unhealthy and absolutely nonvegan recipes called "scrumdiddlyumptious". Maybe you could veganize some of their recipes? Might even attract some of their viewers to the plant based side, bring you some extra subscribers, safe planetary resources and hopefully create some delicious recipes.

I feel the same way about Food Wishes. Most of his food looks good but he almost never does a vegan recipe and when he does, it's because the recipe itself was already vegan. And his stuff is never healthy.
