I didn't plan on leaving a comment but then I saw the coloraby and wanted to say that we sometimes just cut it, squize some lemon and a pinch of salt and eat it like a snack. I'd love a video on farmer's markets and resources specific to Lincoln. Grand Island is a bit lacking in good farmer's markets, so I make trips to Lincoln every other month to stock up. Also, I love Rutabaga's, and I'm excited for their upcoming move to a better space. The mushroom bacon in the vegan mac and cheese is so delicious.
@EatMoveRest4 жыл бұрын
Rutabaga’s is amazing!! There are two main farmers markets. The Haymarket is on Saturdays and the one out south on Prescott is on Sundays. We like the Sunday one better because it’s only produce, no crafts or other things! There is also a Fallbrook one on Thursdays but we haven’t checked it out yet! Lincoln also has tons of great grocery stores...we love Open Harvest co-op because they have tons of overflow from the farmers markets in the spring summer and fall!

Thanks for the food tour. Good luck with the birth/babe. I have found that I can't seem to keep as much fresh food, so have taken to using frozen berries for my morning oats, and frozen chopped kale to add to my meals. It's so easy, like your stew, to just add a couple handfuls. It's my favorite way to eat. Love my combo meals.

Great vid!! When your baby is about 6-7 months look into buying mini popsicle molds ($7 on amazon) for blended banana omg my daughter loves them and eats them everyday. It’d say maybe 8 months if you are going to do fruits and veggies smoothies because they tend to break off or have little pieces in them. If you do just plain breast milk or juice you baby can have that even sooner because it just melts away. Also reusable pouches to take with you if you are on the go or at a restaurant they have screw on tops 🙌🏽

For your activated charcoal Make a dirty lemonade tea So this was shared by a friend but can’t find the link sorry... Dandelion tea (2 bags) 2-3 large lemons (juiced and save rinds) Ginger (as much as you like) I usually us a hands worth. About 1/2 gallon of water I use it like a concentrate, pour over lots of ice Steep the tea bags with lemon peels and knots of ginger. I peel my ginger. Once cooled I toss lemon skins and keep ginger. I blend it and put through a nut milk bag. You can just toss into the tea later but I like my ginger. Mix; tea, previously juiced lemon and ginger into a jar, add a tablespoon of activated charcoal (add more if desired)...I shake the jar before each pour. Add a sweetener like maple syrup to taste if needed. Enjoy!!!!

Why do you use Himalayan salt instead of iodized salt?
@EatMoveRest6 жыл бұрын
Iodized table salt is highly refined (like white sugar), and is stripped of many of its trace minerals, and is typically fortified with iodine. If you're consuming iodized salt to get your iodine, it's probably not providing you an adequate amount unless you're using a lot of it, which does more harm than good. Himalayan salt contains more trace minerals and is more natural, from the earth, and far less refined. Hope this helps!

blueberrychocolate bible I’ve used it in smoothies and made it as a tea on and off over the years, it’s definitely stimulating which I’m mixed on how it makes me feel, but definitely better than coffee and it’s super high in antioxidants!
