What I find best about this recipe is the way you presented it. I love the way you have explained every single step separately without dramatizing, like most youtube channels do. Keep up the good work. Just to mention that for serious cooking it is important to know the exact details of every action the cook performs, which you have excelled at. Very simple video, but very effective for good cooking.

roasting the semolina with a little oil; it prevents upma not to become mushy. adding nimbu to the boiling water enhances its taste

yes Venu, you have to dry roast the sooji, but i didn't do it because now a days most of the sooji brands selling them already dry roast them and sell

oooh looks delish Mr.Singh.Don't you have to dry roast sooji before adding in the hot water? I was told that.my sooji did not come out like urs.I did like you stir in the hot water.but somebody told me to dry roast it.U will follow ur step by step.Thankyou.

Venu you can dry roast it, but just to retain its bright white colour I didn't dry roast, otherwise you can :-) though it shall turn slightly yellow
