VelocityOne Rudder Pedals (Xbox & PC) Review

Turtle Beach's pedals find themselves in a tough spot within the current market situation. I liked the Turtle Beach VelocityOne rudder pedals for what they are within the confines I talk about in this Review. The set's biggest problem is the competition by the name of Virpil and possibly WinWing in the near future. Still they work great with every flight and space sim you can imagine.

In Australia they are just way too expensive. For $25 more I can get all metal Winwing pedals. For $100 more I can have the full metal and damped Winwing pedals. You would have to be mad.

Absolutely. They already dropped in price in some countries. In my opinion TB can't sell them above 200€ anymore now. In Europe the Skywalkers are available for 276€ shipping included (w.o. the dampener).

I had the thrustmaster ones and they were bad. Few days ago bought these for 270 (used a promocode from a streamer), so theyre a bit expensive, but then again, i wasted money on the thrustmaster too. Im super content with the velocity. Thanks to the pads on the underside, they dont skid away (huge problem with the thrustmaster). Only "downside", cant really use these with my sloafers since they require a bit force when using them, so i use them while wearing socks (or you can use shoes, but i dont wear shoes inside so). Its worth the 270.

I have an old set of Saitek rudder pedals that have a broken toe brake spring. They still work, but don't spring back. I'd like to get these VelocityOne rudders because I like the vertical brake arrangement and they are reviewed to be very smooth. But like you said, the price is just too high. Another Logitech G Pro is $150 -$199.

In my opinion if you don't plan to use them on an XBOX I'd put 100 bucks on top and get some Virpil pedals. They feel a lot smoother and are less prone to break.

@@shredman59 if you're not in a rush: Winwing's Skywalker pedals shouldn't be far away. They look like they come with included dampeners. Might be some competition for Virpil / Crosswind

Absolutely. The only thing the WinWings are missing in comparison are a set of springs. But I guess WinWing will add them in the future. Everything else is vastly superior and several leagues above the TB set. They need to sell these below 200 so be a viable option.

Never tried the Virpils myself but people seem to like them. Crosswinds are great. Winwing will release pedals with pre-installed dampeners soon-ish.

None of those pedals are good. None of those allows to put heels on ground.
