நாங்கள் பாரம்பரியமாக, காலம் காலமாக இந்த வடகம் செய்து வைத்துக் கொள்வோம். சிறிய வெங்காயம் மட்டுமே பயன்படுத்துவோம். கறிவேப்பிலை சேர்ப்போம். வெங்காயம், பூண்டு, கறிவேப்பிலை எல்லாவற்றையும் பொடியாக நறுக்கி சேர்ப்போம். வெந்தயத்தை நேரடியாகவே சேர்த்து விடுவோம். உளுந்தை முதல் இரவு ஊற வைத்து, அடுத்த நாள் காலை ஒன்றும் பாதியாக அரைத்து சேர்ப்போம். உளுந்தினுடைய கொழகொழப்பு தன்மையினால் உருண்டை உடையாமல் இருக்கும். உளுந்தை அதிகமாக அரைத்துவிட்டால் உருண்டை மிகவும் கடினமாகிவிடும், உடைத்து தாளிப்பது சிரமமாகிவிடும். விளக்கெண்ணெய் சேர்ப்பதனால் இரண்டு வருடமானாலும் கெட்டுப் போகாது. சிறு சிறு உருண்டைகளாகப் பிடித்து ஒரு தடவை குழம்புக்கு ஒன்று என்ற விகிதம் தாளிப்போம். இதனை சேர்த்து ஒரு வித பூண்டு மிளகாய்பொடி செய்வோம், மிக மிக மிக வாசனையாகவும், சுவையாகவும் இருக்கும்.

You can use gingelly oil too, but castor oil gives an extra flavor. It had medicinal value too. Moreover castor oil is a preservative, it gives more shelf life.
