What is a Ventilator Mode?
A ventilator mode is a way to describe how the mechanical ventilator assists a patient with inspiration. The characteristics of a particular ventilator mode control how the machine functions and assists with the pattern of breathing.
Two Primary Control Variables:
1. Volume Control
2. Pressure Control

very helpful video, i will be rewatching this to catch up on some dusty techniques i haven’t used! i officially have been a respiratory therapist grad for almost a year come june!! I have been working as a NICU RRT the past 6.5 months and it’s been truly amazing. There is a shortage on Respiratory Therapist so please stick with it and as I was told as a student over 22yrs ago, take care of them as if they are your mother or father.
