I'm 61 and I just did this one for the first time. I love hearing about women my age doing the things even when it's not pretty (mine was not either) Yea! Old Ladies rocking it!

At that age it’s not good to do 45 minute long workouts the max u want to keep it at is 20-30 mins because of cortisol levels and women during that stage pack more fat in the abdomen by doing that eat carbs veggies and protein while doing 20-30 min strength training during the week , Pilates, and low impact cardio but one high intense during the week just be careful when we think it’s doing good it’s hurting us and really I don’t think women in the younger stage should do 45 min because it’s too long but it hurts you when your in the forties-fifties stage.

@@mdb2017 oh ok but I’m saying for most women doing 40 mins workouts often is bad for you and can cause you to store more fat it’s best to keep it simple but challenge yourself. I’m not saying it will physically hurt you as far as knees breaking and stuff that’s not what I mean I meant for your weight love

I understand it might be helpful, but in my experience, the drawbacks of that far outweigh the benefits. Everyone should pick a weight that is picked individually for them - the weight I use should have no impact on that decision 💖 all weight provided in intro & caption for reference only.

Thank you. Tough workout for this 68 yr old who is trying to increase strength, tone & increase bone density. Prefer workouts that have warm up, stretch and cool down in workouts. Lots of commercials! I may check some of your other workouts. 😊

Was only able to complete half of the video since my blood pressure dropped too low, never happened before but I’m glad I listened to my body and stopped to take a longer break! I’m so glad you popped up on KZbin the other night 😊 I had a bakers cyst, size of an egg behind right knee 😔 nothing torn 👏 it was very painful & created nerve pain through my body.. went to Physical Therapy which gave me hope & strength 🙏❤️ My bakers cyst has drained & I’m finally getting back to working out with modifications 👏👏 I’ve had many pity pot parties of not being able to workout & my goals were at a halt.. However, I’m so thankful no surgery.. I did this workout with modifications and loved it!! I’m so ready to build healthy endorphins and get back to where I was 😊 I believe I’m at the right workout to achieve my goal.. Thank you.. I SURE HAVE MISSED MY WEIGHTS.. ❤️🥰

I love the no repeats, would love to see more of those, they seem like they go the fastest when I am doing them, maybe because it is something new every time.

Completely understand that - and I have a full playlist of no repeat workouts. They are always fun, and fun to do sometimes, and I still structure them to hit all the muscles multiple times. But if you want to see real results, you do have to complete multiple rounds of exercises.

Mrs VeraLaro.... you are amazing! Your workout is amazing and very doable with the exception of two floor / ab workouts. I went all the way down to 3 pounds not to compromise the my form. I used a used a pair of 3, 5 ,8 22 DBs, one 10 & 20 lb Burned a whooping 420 calories with this workout and the warm up. Asked to join your Facebook group. Pending approval, I'm ain't social media, but created one for the group. Can't wait to share my progress in 2 months.

This was an awesome workout! I struggled just a bit with the shoulder exercises, since that is my weakest area. However, this 60 year old, made it through the fire! I enjoyed the pace of the workout. I didn't have to stop at all. My only negative would be the video being interrupted by all the darn ads. Since I'm currently doing two days a week, on a twelve week program at the gym, these workouts will be my Saturday jam. My favorite thing is that I can cast it to my TV! Thanks Vera!

Horray! Legitimate 45 minute workout! Very creative workout that targets all upper body parts and adds just enough lower and abs to keep it interesting. I wish I had time to do this work out twice, Not because it was easy but because it was fun and the time flew!! Uses all different weights. I’ll be sure to do it again soon. (Time doesn’t include warm up or cool down so just a heads up.) Thank you Ms. Vera!!!

I have been doing random workouts which all end with a cooldown. So i start with a warm up video then onto main workout video. I decided to do program by program, only to find no cool down on 8weeks strong😅😅😅, i had to cool myself down😄😄. I still enjoyed the workout. Looking forward to finishing and starting strong summer with cooldowns.🙊🙊

Woke up this morning and I realized that there was an issue with my subscription so I decided to try this full body workout. I am sweating 🥵🥵🥵. I mean it was the perfect combination of compound and isolated strength. I had forgotten about some exercices (standing Tate press, kneeling ski swing and Poliquin raise). I just discovered your channel! It's exactly what I need. I just retired at the end of Dec and I have recently lost 40 lbs (over the past 4 months) and now it's time to build some strength and tone! Survived day one. 49 yrs old with low back, and knee problems due to past injuries. It was easy to keep up. And only had to modify the one exercise. May have to have a day off in between each workout video to recover.

Started this program with you, only to have to take a break halfway through Week 2 after pinching a nerve in my back while getting ready for work. It kept me down for a week and then I gave myself a few extra days for healing; but now I'm ready to workout again and decided I might as well go back to the start. By the time I catch up with you all, you'll be done the 8-week Strong Program; but I am hopeful and determined!

This workout is great for every level! I'm slowly getting back into dumbbell exercise and this met my needs. I was able to get through it, modify when necessary and complete the workout! Will continue to use this and others as I grow in my journey. Thank you for sharing such amazing workouts!

Just finished day 1! 💪🏻🏋🏼♀️ My arms are shaking! I did another leg workout yesterday and discovered the 8 week challenge last night. I was so glad I wasn’t too sore to start this challenge today!

Day one completed today, I haven’t worked out for 3 weeks and managed to keep up for the first half, but then had to take longer breaks in between exercises for the last 23 minutes, great workout though! Thanks Vera 😊

Finally started the challenge today, love this workout! Ended it covered in sweat and weak but I feel amazing making it through the whole video. Loved the variations and the perfect balance of upper body that wasn’t just holding yourself in plank over and over !

@@VeraLaRo Thanks for the encouragement! I'm 63 and so grateful to have connected with these programs. I can hike 12-13 miles in a day without difficulty, but have had to train my time up to even 30 minutes of HIIT with weights because of the complex of muscle groups involved (which is a very good thing)! I've integrated some primitive movement stretching to increase functionality and that has helped me to advance, as well. 45 minutes ... here I come! I'm ready!

Great length for what I wanted. The 20 second breaks were a little long, so I tried to fit in some jumping jacks/high knee cardio. Thanks!

That sounds great! If the breaks seem long, I’d recommend increasing your weight and slowing down your speed. I find a lot of people come to my workouts being used to fast paced workouts with a lot of weight swinging - I focus much more on quality of reps and fully engaging the muscles for every single set. For me personally, after a set like this, 20 seconds is barely enough to catch my breath for the next set 💖

Amazing work out, I have to be honest with you that towered the end I had difficulty, but I stayed until the end. Just with the first day I feel alive.
