This is the BEST plyometric training method in the world that will increase your hops!
Professional basketball players, football packers, volleyball players and olympic track athletes have been using this special training method for decades to jump high!
This SPECIAL vertical jump training method is called shock training!
This vertical jump method was discovered by a Russian scientist and coach Yuriy Verkhoshanski.
Back in the 1970’s the Russians dominated track and field because they were the only ones in the world who used shock training.
However, After the rest of the world discovered this secret Russian training method the Russians stopped being so dominant.
Shock vertical jump training focuses on these two plyometric exercises:
Drop Jumps and Depth Jumps.
Drop Jumps help you absorb the force when you land with both feet.
Depth Jumps help you absorb the force when you land and transfer it into your jump.
Beginner Shock Training Exercise
Drop Jumps 4 sets of 4 reps
Intermediate Shock Training Exercise
Depth Jump For Vertical Height 4 sets of 4 reps
Depth Jumps For Distance 4 sets of 4 reps
Advanced Shock Training
Depth Jumps On a Box 4 sets of 4 reps
Depth Jumps Over A Box 4 sets of 4 reps
When doing drop jumps the height of the box should be equivalent to your best standing vertical jump.
You must have strong strength levels before doing depth jumps - which means being able to squat at least 1.5 times your bodyweight.
You can still do depth jumps if you can’t squat 1.5 times your body weight but make sure that the height of the box that you are using is less than 18 inches.
If you can’t squat 1.5 times your bodyweight then do the drop jump for 4 sets of 4 reps before your strength leg workout
If you can squat at least 1.5 times your bodyweight then do the drop jumps along with one or two of the depth jumps for 4 sets of 4 reps.

A workout I got says I need to do 20 reps of reactive jumps (which means depth jumps), 4 sets, jeez.

Hi i have a quick question. I have your program and I've been seeing some gains but i was wondering if there is any alternative I can do for sprints? My gym is very small and I've been doing the sprints on pavement, and it has been unforgiving on my knees. Any substiituonal exercise?

nice video!. I actually find depth jumps easy than drop jumps as you can dissipate the energy for jumping rather than absorb it. is this normal?

Hello Maks P. I've been squatting my ass off in the gym for the last 3 weeks. I always squat 225lbs and I weigh 265lbs. I know 225 is not my max as I'm able to do 5 reps all the time. However, even with the squat belt, I keep getting a little back pain. I think the muscles in there are getting the workout as well because I usually sit around the biggest part of my day at work. I can definitely tell my quads, hamstrings, glutes, and hips are getting the workout really well. Right now, I'm resting for today up until Monday. I've noticed maybe a 5 inch increase with just squatting because, to be honest, I never really worked these muscles at all in high school. I almost had my first dunk last week. I palmed the ball, went up, ball slipped out of my hand, but my fingers grabbed the rim. Hoping to see more increases with the workouts I've done this week. Should I move up my weight in squatting? Will that help make a difference? Hope to hear from you soon.

Vertical Jump Truth Thank you for the response. I've been adding more weight to my workout. Currently squatting 290lbs, while adding plyometrics and wearing ankle weights in my regular work session. I have not retested my vertical jump just yet. I figured I would wait until after the next 2 weeks in a total rest period before retesting. Thanks for the advice.

Squat 1.5x body weight? What for a 1 rep max or a set, and if so how many reps, with what technique. These might sound like stupid questions but it's important to know for injury prevention.
